This stuff is awesome!
This stuff is great. I didn't want to paint my wood cabinets but wanted to de-orange them a little bit. This was such an easy way to change them. They look great it also, conditioned and shine them.

Before and after photos included. Very pleased. A good alternative to painting cabinets and so easy!

Better than I expected
I am an amateur working on a 250 year old Syrian chest. I needed to restore the top, but did not want to actually refinish it. I needed something to smooth out the finish, remove some water rings, and smooth the finish where packing tape had left the patina in the wood but removed the top finish. This wax did all that. I am quite used to working with bees wax and carnauba, so I wasn't sure what this was going to get me. I did like the colored wax; that helped a lot. Yet better, the solvent for the wax softened the top finish of unknown origin, smoothed out the rest, and left a beautiful sheen. It got even better as I rubbed it a bit the second day, and again on the third day.Much of the patina is still there, now with a good, smooth finish. I am pleased.

Great product
If the wood is porous and not sealed - this is a great product to restain and polish genuine wood.I have used it for many years to refinish my hardwood floors.

Turn orange cabinets to vintage brown
I used this product to turn my orange cabinets into a more vintage looking brown, I love the look. The application is really simple, just make sure to really clean the cabinets before hand. The only downside is the smell.

Works like magic to rehab old wax finishes
I bought this in an effort to rehabilitate a 15-20 year old dark wood console cabinet. It's a rustic piece with doors containing a dozen small glass windows, and which are held close with wooden hasps. It's made of solid unpainted wood with a dark coffee brown wax finish. Over years of use and abuse, the old finish got rather dry and developed some light patches, there were scratches and scuffs and wear-and-tear by the hasps and in certain places on top. It never responded well to other waxes and oils, each of which tended to damage the finish more than help it. The Briwax, on the other hand, worked like magic. I spent around 45 minutes methodically applying and buffing the finish (it requires a lot of attention to detail around mouldings and windows), but in the end it looks like a new piece again. Really amazing stuff.

Great product!!!
I don’t usually leave reviews but this product deserves one. Purchased our home last year & the kitchen had honey oak cabinets that were kind of beat up. Some were very dried out & I just didn’t care for the 90s color. I read about briwax on Pinterest so I decided to order some after seeing it wasn’t very expensive. I thought I would give it a shot before we looked into new cabinets or actually restaining these ones, I did not want to paint. Applying the wax took about 2 hours overall then I added new handles. I applied with a microfiber cloth then buffed with a clean microfiber cloth to shine. I did go through about 6 cloths because I noticed the wax does not apply smooth once there is a buildup on the cloth. But a DRAMATIC different for $20some dollars and a couple hours. Cabinets are smooth & not dried out anymore, literally looks like we got new cabinets!!

what a blotchy mess
Sorry there is no photo I threw out my sample board in pure disappointment. The "wax" arrived in a liquid form from the heat so I has to wait for it to firm up. It only formed to a gelly-like texture never to a WAX. I put it on a sample cabinet front I purchased at the Restore. I tried several gel stains and waxes alongside this product. It did not give much color as shown and was the only blotchy product of the 9 I tried on my sample board. It would not buff out and did not act as a wax at all. A huge failure and NON-RETURNABLE. While the label does say it can arrive in liquid and firms up, I think this may be the cause of my fail. I seldom return used items but this was so bad as I felt it was a defect based on reviews. I am so sad, I hoped to liven up my old oak cabinets and watch hours of videos that raved about this product. I could not find a local source to check it out and used Amazon Prime. I do a few refinishing projects a year so I am familiar with a variety of products. I only wanted this for an installed solid and veneer oak cabinet that I could not refinish in my garage. I do not forsee ever using this product on anything. Super disappointing.
