Country Line Dance Lessons DVD Volume #1 - Beginning Line Dance

This is an easy to follow, step by step, guide to Line Dancing. Bought it for our Senior Center and it was a hit! Lot of lovely ladies stepping right on out! Thank you!

Very very happy with this purchase, I'm a complete beginner when it comes to line dancing and this DVD is just what I needed to get started. I love the way Brooke teaches because she's so easy to follow. Sometimes she covers things a bit fast but it's easy to just go back and watch it again on the DVD until I get it right. My favorite has been the Electric Slide! I've been practicing with her DVDs for a few weeks now and I feel like I'm getting pretty good now. My husband is doing the two partner dances with me (Two Step and the Waltz) and even he admitted it was fun. I've already recommended this DVD to my friends and am comfortable in saying if you want to learn line dancing this is a great DVD to get started with.

You can tell if an instructional video is good or not, if it accomplishes the thing it sets out to do. This one has its faults, (Brooke doesn't explain the extra two steps it takes to make the turn on the Electric Slide to another wall, and she doesn't explain what wall is, {I'm a complete dance newbie}). And she goes too fast, but that happens in most instructional dance video's. And it's really no problem. You just have to rewind.Everything else is good; the setting, Brooke, the dancers, the quality of the video. I especially liked dancing to the music after I learned the Electric Slide! (Although I would have preferred the music to be Achy, Breaky Heart). But that's just me.It's all good, and your money won't be wasted.

I liked the fact that they showed you step by step instruction and then showed the entire dance put together. When the instructor turns around with her back to the camera wasn't as helpful as if she would have remained facing the camera. That's just my opinion since I'm such a novice to country line dancing.

I was hoping that the lessons would last long enough for me to actually learn a dance - perhaps giving you a list of songs to play while you practice and hearing her say the words. They go pretty quick and then onto the next dance. I haven't watched the whole thing, but thus far it's too fast to learn for me.

This is a fun, good quality recording. The instructions after the dances are well worth the time and will help you learn basic line dancing. I'm very happy with my decision to buy this beginner's line dancing CD.
