Honey from the Rock: Sixteen Jews Find the Sweetness of Christ

I've been reading about the lives of the saints, looking for the very impetuous that I found in Mr. Schoeman's stories. Thank you.

I bought this book for my sister who was raised Episcopalian and converted to Judaism when she married a Reformed Jew. They are in their late 70s - early 80s now. This book is absolutely beautifully written by 16 Jews who converted to Catholicism. Their stories are inspiring and enthralling. For anyone who wants to increase their understanding of their faith and also the roots of Christianity this book will not disappoint.

This is well written, surprising, inspiring and a completely original book. I had the feeling that I will read it all over again next year after I digest it’s significance. These stories explain why thousands of us Jews are becoming Christians. I don’t feel alone anymore.

I actually have encountered several of the people in this book. It deeply moved me to understand how the Holy Spirit had moved in their lives.

Good & interesting book from different peoples perspectives. All were called in unique ways. Nice to read about one person at a time, not a book you have to read cover to cover.

Wonderful reading linking Judaism as the precursor to Christianity and Catholicism's fulfilment of the Law (Mosaic) and the profits. It (Catholicism) has deep meaningful links to Judaism. It reflects the great love that God's people have for Him, when they reach that epiphany of mind, body and soul. Highly recommended reading for Jews, Christian, and people of all faiths or none. Very educational.

Mr Schoeman is a very good writer who shares some amazing stories of people who turned to the practice of Catholicism. His own story is in the book as well. If you like conversion stories as I do, you will enjoy this book.

The stories of those Sixteen Jews are an incredible source of inspiration for us cradle Catholics. Indeed, this book is pure honey for the soul.

This is a book that renews and deepens your faith. It shows that dramatic conversions, such as St. Paul's have continued throughout the past 2000 years up until today. The accounts are to the point and described using the converts own words. Can't say enough of the subject matter and content.
