A section burnt out
I purchased these after my first order of 150 ft rope lights from Amazon we’re “undeliverable” and cancelled without explanation. These were $114.99, so I assumed they’d be higher quality than my first order of $75. The house we bought had green rope lighting so these were replacing what we previously had. The installation was fairly simple because we already had a track strip to put them into. We followed all instructions and did NOT turn them on while they were on the reel. Once we finished installing them we turned them on to make sure they were lit during the day and they worked. Then we turned them on in the evening and were disappointed they aren’t brighter. Then within 20 minutes, a 2-3ft section burnt out. We had to cut a section to fit our lanai. Now I’m hoping Amazon will accept the return. Disappointed In these lights. Would not recommend.

Exactly what I wanted...BUT!!!
I don't write many reviews, however in this case I'm doing it to help future buyers. First, these lights absolutely can be cut. I read a review saying they couldn't, but there are cut locations every three feet. I've done it and they work great. The set comes with three additional plug extensions and the accessories to use them. Be careful when you use the little spiked pieces, they're tough to put in.My MOST IMPORTANT lesson, DO NOT PLUG THEM IN UNTIL YOU'VE UN-SPOOLED THEM. I made the mistake of hanging 80 feet of the rope. I ran out of hangers prematurely. I left the other 70 feet spooled and tested what I had hung. They worked great and I left them on for a short time (somewhere between 30 mins to an hour). Unfortunately, that was enough time for the spooled section to overheat, melt together, and short. The next day when I tried to turn the strand on...nothing. I checked and of course the fuse was blown. I replaced it and it blew again. That's when I discovered what I had done. Good news is, I was able to cut the rope just before the damage and salvaged 100 foot or so.Please read and heed the tag on the product. Do not plug these in for more then a few seconds until you've hung them.

So beautiful, such nice quality light. And customizable lengths!
I love incandescent lighting, and these are wonderful. Our front yard is so romantic now, with this soft warm lighting that is not too bright for sensitive eyes. We have two of these 150' strands and have cut them to size, to fit where we need them.Note: It is not an easy task to cut and re-terminate; but it is possible, just takes some patience. The plastic has a little scissor marking every 3 feet where it can be cut. Don't use the superglue that comes with it, it is too thin and just drips. The plug that comes pre-installed is waterproof, but the additional plugs aren't really ... So I cut off the far end first since my first strand was for in-house.

The se lights were not the ones I ordered
The lights I ordered were obviously out of stock so these were sent instead. They were probably just fine lights ,but they did not hook-up with the existing lights I was putting new lights on some homemade 7ft. candy canes we hang on our pier .Unfortunately it was the first Christmas our candy canes were not on our pier since 2005. Oh well. Not the worst thing that could happen .Christmas was still a blessing and much enjoyed

Warm inviting light - better color than LED
I use this rope light outside on the railing of my front stairs, for safety at night as well as for holiday decoration. I accidentally used an LED rope light on the opposite railing, and it's so obvious that the LED "warm white" color is not warm, the LED is harsh and a little bit green by comparison.

Never knew LEDs faded, not as super bright as the first day.
Lights where super bright on the first day, came out the next day they seem dulled down. Took them out the socket waited a day or two, plugged them back in they are brighter. Seems like led burns out. Not sure what to make if it, as I have spent over 30 mins getting my Halloween decor up to have to go through all that work to take them down. Going to see how long they hold up for.

Poor rope light
I bought this make of rope light to string to a Bright blue wintergreen light With the same connection. The wintergreen bright blues I bought are a weak GREEN when 2 are strung together. Reversing the connection or connect one to an older wintergreen blue, the new one is a weak greenish. Night Photo - new rope “blue” across the bottom,, left side is a blue wound sound a tree - different make but equivalent to the old wintergreen which is tree rapped above but not shown. (Old, good WG blue is not connect to different bright blue rope light.)
