Skeptical at first but pleasantly surprised
First of all I was not expecting much. I read the reviews and it seemed like these socks would either work or not do anything. I ordered them thinking it was worth a shot. I had previously tried over the counter inserts, Dr. prescribed and formed inserts, expensive supportive shoes, ice, exercises, etc. Nothing seemed to help my foot pain. I finally tried one of the over the counter braces that hold your foot in position at night but it was hard to sleep with it on and if I got the straps too tight, I would wake up in pain where the strap was putting too much pressure on my foot. I did however notice improvement and much less pain when I wore the brace and if I didn't wear it, the pain in my heel returned in the morning. So with this in mind I thought the socks were worth a try.The socks arrived and I immediately put them on. First impression was that they were not tight enough to do much good (I ordered a size large and wear a size 10 shoe) but I figured I would give it a bit and see what happened. Well much to my amazement, in about 20 minutes I realized my feet felt better! These socks were really a surprise. I wore them for 5 or 6 hours after they arrived, then I went to bed with them on and woke up with no foot pain in the morning. I have been wearing them ever since. Even though they don't feel overly tight, they do feel snug and I guess they compress my foot at the instep enough to keep the tendon stretched and not make my foot or heel hurt. They don't seem to stop circulation in my foot and they do stay on and don't slip around on my foot. Now don't get me wrong, I still have some pain if I stay on my feet all day. But these socks do ease the pain. Before I started using a brace at night, I could barely walk in the morning my heel and instep hurt so much. But with the brace being used the last 3 weeks and now just wearing the socks, the pain is pretty much gone or not really noticeable when I first get up. I haven't worn the brace for three nights now (I do wear the socks) and my feet feel good in the morning. I did try leaving the socks off for a few hours yesterday and maybe it is psychological but my feet did feel a bit sore after a few hours of not wearing them. The socks seem well made and after three days of use are not showing any signs of loose stitching or poor quality. I have not washed them yet and I guess I will see how things are doing in a month. But for now I am very pleasantly surprised at how well they work and how much better my foot feels with them on. I plan to buy a few more pairs and hopefully they will continue to make a difference.

Best Compression Socks, but watch out for counterfeits!
I have become addicted to these ankle/heel compression socks by SB SOX! I've purchased 3 pair so far, and now I'm wearing them every day. They help to stabilize my weak ankles (I have never been able to stand on one foot! Can you?) and also reduce stabbing back-of-heel pains that developed suddenly after a trip.I am the type of person who keeps trying one brand after another to try to find the "best", so I've bought many different types of compression socks. I like these the best because the compression (whatever level it is) is just right, neither too loose nor too tight. I wear 6-7.5 sandals or 8 W shoes with thick socks, and the Medium fit perfectly. I have wide flat feet, narrow heel area and fat calves. Since these are toeless, they don't cramp or overheat my wide feet. Since they are ankle length, the fat calf problem is avoided. These are perfect for me!COUNTERFEIT CAUTION: there was another Amazon vendor who was using the SB SOX listing to sell a counterfeit version. As shown in my photo, the shorter sock is the true good SB SOX product. The longer sock is a counterfeit which, for a person with foot pain, is difficult to get on! I was distressed when I received the longer one, thinking that the company had changed its product. I emailed them, and Sam was awesome getting back to me immediately and explaining that the longer one was a counterfeit. Even the box it came in (photo) was a perfect counterfeit match! Unfortunately Amazon's system was automatically listing the counterfeit seller as the default seller (because of a 1 cent lower price), even when you just place a reorder purchase! After verifying that my first good sock was purchased with the seller listed as SB SOX but my reorder (the counterfeit long sock) was purchased from another seller, I returned the second. I placed another order by going to the "Other Sellers On Amazon" section and specifically selected SB SOX, and I received the great shorter ankle socks again! Happy me!SB SOX Customer Service is so dedicated to keeping customers happy that they even offered to send me another pair free to replace the counterfeit version. I refused because I felt that it wasn't their fault. I was so incensed that a counterfeiter would steal the business from someone who had worked hard to develop a great product, sell the inferior knockoff to unsuspecting Amazon customers and that Amazon would allow it! Fortunately it appears that Amazon has resolved the problem as SB SOX is now listed as the only seller for this item. Hope they keep it that way! SB SOX is a great product and company! Way to go, Amazon!

Comfortable and Effective Socks for Plantar Fasciitis Relief
I started wearing these socks after my heels began hurting from walking all day. A friend recommended them, and I’m glad I gave them a try! I don’t wear them every day—usually just on the days when my feet are feeling sore.I’ve also slept with them on a few times. While I sometimes wake up to take them off, they don’t actually wake me up or make me uncomfortable. I usually hate sleeping in socks, but these are lightweight and breathable, which is great since I’m a hot sleeper.I really do believe these socks help with my plantar fasciitis pain. I wear a size 9 shoe and got the Medium size. They’re snug, but that’s how they’re designed—to provide the right amount of support.Overall, a great option if you need some extra relief without sacrificing comfort!
