There’s so much stuff in this set. Here’s my initial impression. Negative first, followed by positive.-Sizes of items are inconsistent and not relative to the other items-When one dented, I couldn’t undent it-I don’t think sherry really belongs in a kids play set, just sayin’-the paper labels on some pieces were flimsy and poorly attached but I fixed them with scotch tape while my kiddos played so not a big deal if you take the time to do that. Otherwise the labels will be off soon.-it seems like there should have been more Velcro tabs on some pieces as they have the round recess in the center to accommodate them but oh well-it’s kind of a mixed bunch of stuff rather than a huge consistent set.In my opinion none of those details are deal breakers.Now some positives:-There are multicultural foods which is cool-Some foods layer together or can be pieced together to make whole dishes-The pots and pans are bigger than normal-Everything I handled except one utensil seemed sturdy and typical of the quality of other toy foods-the cartons and containers are plastic. There is only one cardboard item, a fry carton and there’s a plastic one even if the cardboard one tears up.-it’s appealing to a range of ages. My 1, 4 &7 year olds all adore it. Two girls and a boy (4)-it’s fun, cute and you actually get everything in the pictures-it’s educational. They’re learning about foods from other cultures and the names of utensils they typically don’t use themselves.-the burgers attach which is one of the features that motivated my purchase. The downside is those specific pieces are all open on the bottom. A handful of other pieces are like that but a huge majority of the pieces are typical play food.So I would recommend this. Especially considering you’d spend about $10 on a set with maybe 10-20 pieces in the store and a portion of those would likely be the throw away cardboard containers. For the price of 4 sets you have 340 pieces with great variety and equivalent or surpassing quality.

First let me just say that this is the biggest package of play food I've ever seen in my life. It has everything that a child needs to play pretend. These are not cheap made toys. They are very durable and very thick made. They are sturdy and make a great gift for a boy or a girl. Just a heads up make sure you have plenty of room to put these because there are a lot of toys ! Great value

For the price point, the variety was great and relatively sturdy. My 4 year old has a great time playing with all the food items! The durability is good-- most items are hard plastic but some are soft and if you step on them they will collapse. For the time my kid will play with them, they should last and what toys are made to be stepped on repeatedly anyways! Would buy again.

Food is durable hard plastic. Color scheme is no sensible to me being that the pots & pans & plates do not coordinate. But my kids love it regardless and don’t seem to care at all. They have spent hours playing with this daily! Which is a win for any busy parent. I never imagine our old kitchen set could be revived! But here it is! In addition this this, my kids enjoy the Asian cuisine. Never would have thought of it! But it’s a good change up by adding some diverse culture. We have had many play four sets, other fantastic brands like Melissa & Doug... but the quantity alone here impresses them & keep them more consistently occupied. :)Advice: get storage bins for food. Have kids sort by colors to keep it organized. It will end up all over the floor. All. The. Time. Just breathe. And then, teach kids responsibility by having them both clean up the food/kitchen & sort. Trust me. They can do it!

This set has a lot of nice pieces and some peices that I didn’t even keep. The pizza slices, chocolate bar and crackers are made of hard plastic without bottoms, they only have sides and a top. Many of the other peices are hollow plastic that is easily smashed, however some of the pieces are made of solid durable plastic. There are also some cardboard cartons which never last. I liked the good variety of healthful foods included. Most other play food sets only feature junk food. I also liked that there are whole eggs and eggs sunny side up, a bunch of bananas and single bananas, celery bunches and celery sticks. That makes for fun play cooking. There are plenty of pieces for more than one child to play with. It was still a good deal even though I didn’t keep all of the pieces. The kids using them are quite happy with them.

Everything here has to serve multiple purposes. I looked at several items before settling on this one. I wanted a good mix of food (for nutrition education down the road) lots of colors (for color sorting activities now) and lots of play fun for my son's new Step 2 kitchen. WOW! We got a buttload of stuff. So much so, I was able to sort some for his kitchen, some to go to the grandparents for him to play with there, and then some to go in his homeschool area. With a TON still left over. If you are looking to inspire your future chef or food truck entrepreneur, this would be the one! Most all of the toys have held up. Some labels have been torn/chewed off, but the majority of the food has withstood a very inspired 2 year old. Would buy again.

I thought I was ordering 120 or 140 pieces until I showed my husband realized it was 340. From pots and pans to French fries and cookies everything in your kitchen or pantry this bag have. You have things separated by colors so if your working on colors you can pull all red, or all green or whatever color your learning if its in the bag. Its so many pieces that if you have a little one who doesn't clean everything up but only does a little or pieces may get it lost or thrown away take out 50 or less at a time. Overall great for the value. And it was packaged 3x .
