Repeated testing with a water quality meter indicates that this pitcher and filter does nothing to improve drinking quality of water. I have gone back to my Zero water pitcher which completely purifies the water. Same testing meter used for both.

My wife was thrilled to find a filter pitcher made from glass. She's a huge anti-plastic person (until I pointed out the filter housing and filter are plastic) so not having her water sitting in plastic was a big thing for her. It seems well made, but you do need to be careful with the glass. The instructions and pictures did not explain the filling process, but so you know, there is a "flapper" valve that lowers when water runs on it and snaps back up when done. The water quality is very good. What was most important to us was the height, since we only had so much room under our refrigerator shelf. This one is at least a half inch shorter than other ten cup pitchers.
