Small and maintenance Free
We recently bought a townhouse with very hard water that left a film on everything and tasted awful. Since we are a bit older, we wanted to find a system that did not need much maintenance. This filter is small, mounted right on the wall next to our hot water tank, uses no salt, and was reasonably priced. We love it. So happy we went this route instead of the big tanks. Only been installed a couple of weeks and find a huge difference in our water. We also purchased 2 extra filters at the same time so we would not be scrambling to find them when needed. Would definitely suggest this system to anyone.

Just Installed and Monitoring
First, let me say that the stainless steel tank housing and top cap seem to be very well made. I cannot give 5-stars yet, until it has been running for a period of time to ensure it warrants a 5-star. However, it meets my needs very nicely and would have given it 4.5 stars if that were possible. I had purchased this to replace an older (now failed) Water Boss water softener, which I had in my foyer closet and took up most of the floor space. Over the 20 years of using the Water Boss, I have had to battle with the water condensation on the large box shaped container, which ultimate caused mold to form around the baseboards. I tried insulating the box with silvered bubble wrap, which did help quite a bit, but now the whole thing has failed and I decided to take a different approach to conditioning our well water. I am aware that this house filter is NOT a true water softener and does not actually remove the calcium, but I am convinced that my water hardness and water quality will be better served by avoiding all of the added sodium that can result from the countless bags of iron-out salt I have been using over the years and then this waste water going into my septic system, which cannot be good for keeping the septic bacteria functioning well (I am a biologist). This filter gave me back my closet space and was easy to install myself and I am 67 yrs old. I did have an initial problem getting a tight seal of the threads going in/out of the filter top when I first connected it using 3/4" steel connectors, even though I used a lot of pipe sealer and teflon tape. I switched to brass fittings which is a little softer metal and had no further problems with leaks. Lastly, I purchases sheet of 1/4" Neoprene rubber from a company "Foam Factory" here in Michigan to make my own custom insulated tank jacket to cover the steel tank and thereby prevent any moisture from condensing on the tank. I created a neoprene cylinder and bottom end cap with a seam of velcro, so I can remove the jacket as necessary when replacing filters. This turned out great!! I may have found a permanent fix to my condensation and mold problem suffered in the past. I would recommend this product, especially for confined spaces. However, if you are installing this, or any water softener, in an enclosed space, you must address the water condensation that will surely occur. I believe the neoprene jacket for this filter tank is necessary, unless you live in a place where you have no humidity.

Great water softener
We replaced the existing "salt" water softener and can't tell a difference in the water. It takes up fraction of the space and replace a cartridge yearly versus adding salt monthly is a big plus.

Nice but now they have a better one.
I purchased one a year ago after our water softner died. They are now banned in our area so I did not have many choices for a whole house solution. It is well made and works great but the only thing I did not like was reducing the input from 1" to 3/4" into the house. As the filter gets older it really constricts the water pressure inside the house. I just replaced the filter after a year and it is flowing great again. Today I saw they have a 1" version and I bought it right away. I will leave a review on that purchase when it is installed to see if it makes a difference.

This one is made with good quality steel
Ordered a different model before this one, total junk. This one is made with good quality steel. Comes with everything (except pipe fitting) needed to install the softener. Even includes an extra silicone seal. In use for 3 days now with no issues.

Water leak on o-ring seal
Installed the product for about three days now. Noticed a small water leak with the silicon o-ring. Used the spare o-ring but still a tiny leak coming from the top by the o-ring seal. Tightened it as much as I can. Need a new seal. Don’t know where to get a replacement o-ring seal. Where do I get a spare o-ring seal? Can someone help.

Awesome ... Worth the money. Softener and Filter all in one
Easy to install if you know how to do plumbing work. Plumber cost about $250 bucks. I had a gasket leaking and contacted the company and they sent me a ton of replacement gaskets. Turned out it wasn't the filter leaking. It was just a slow drip from a copper fitting

Misleading Product Advertisement
The first line in the advertisement for this product is "water softener!" At best this is an over-priced whole house filter. There is nothing about this filtration system which "softens" the water. It does remove chlorine however there is no "water softening" or "hard water" removal! The advertisers are deceiving the Buying Public with untruthful claims.
