Lace release is only used to release the tape from the lace cap. Will not work to clean adhesive. Keep in mind that C-22 is an oil base product and Lace release is an alcohol base.

C-22 adhesive solvent is just that. It will remove all brands of hair system tape from both Lace or Poly hair systems. Takes just seconds for it to start to lift for base. Because this is an oil base product, you must shampoo your hair system couple times to remove any residual oils.
