If you are a true fan of Memoir 44 I highly suggest getting a copy of this OVERLORD EXPANSION as soon as you can. During 2017 and early 2018 it was difficult to find copies of this expansion but as of Summer 2018 and currently in 2019 this expansion is still available. Now let's look at what's in the box: Contents: One (1) updated instruction manual or Rules Booklet for playing in OVERLORD mode, covering play on the Eastern Front and the Pacific Theater, as well as with the original Air Pack expansion. Two (2) decks of 64 cards each, specifically redesigned for Overlord play One Hundred seventy-eight (178) flat Chits or Tokens to represent German, American, Soviet and Japanese army figures: Infantry, Tanks, Artillery in case you don't have all the required plastic miniatures. Eight (8) additional Memoir '44 dice in PLASTIC. The previous version of this expansion included wooden dice, the update is in plastic format using the same symbology. You must remember that this is an expansion and NOT A STAND-ALONE GAME. To play in OVERLORD MODE with this expansion you will need: One (1) original copy of the Memoir '44 board game At least one (1) of the six (6) OVERLORD BATTLE MAPS expansions released up to 2019. Be sure to register your product for timely updates. I very much like the OVERLORD MODE RULES because they allow up to eight (8) players to battle their wits against each other. The rules for Commander-in-Chief and Field Generals are clearly explained in the instruction manual and I highly suggest you read it fully so that you can enjoy playing this game in this epic form. The OVERLORD COMMAND CARD decks are beautiful. These cards are the 2nd generation of Memoir 44 Command Cards. An upgrade from the original base game Command Cards. The inclusion of an additional set of eight (8) dice is brilliant. Very thoughtful of the manufacturers. Besides purchasing this OVERLORD EXPANSION, I highly recommend getting the following expansions for this game: 1) EASTERN FRONT (this is an absolute must-play) and as of 2019 still AVAILABLE. 2) WINTER WARS (this is an absolute must-play) and as of 2019 still AVAILABLE. 3) BREAKTHROUGH KIT MAPS 4) SPECIAL OPERATIONS EXPANSION PACKS (these are an absolute must-play) and as of 2019 still AVAILABLE. DISCLAIMER: The battle shown in the pictures is from the TIGERS IN THE SNOW BATTLE MAPS SERIES 1 This expansion does not come with the plastic miniatures, you must use those provided in your MEMOIR '44 base game and those come unpainted. I have painted each and every single one of these plastic miniatures as you can see in the pictures shown in this review.
