Excellent resource

Bought this book instead of pricey numicon book. The shapes are not arranged the same so I think continuity is more important. Can’t use it how I want to

Lots of ready to go ideas

Overall I as a kindergarten teacher like the book and the activities, but the main reason I wanted to get this was the CD so I could use it during distance learning which didn’t come with the book nor did a online activation code. This book makes no mention of the digital component like the advertised picture or description does, I was looking forward to purchasing the Didax Working with the Number Line also but will not due to false advertising and I will be returning this book also if this can’t be rectified.

The book is good but the photo is deceiving. This does NIT come with a CD or DVD. It is only the book.

As a teacher in Sweden, in the Swedish system, I really miss books like these where we can focus on one or a set of mathematical concepts. Teachers here have access to a whole array of maths books for students to fill in the answers and not a lot of time is dedicated to exploring numbers and number sense. Teachers in Sweden don't really learn how to teach maths to young students and rely mostly on the student workbooks for their lessons. I believe the kind of work these books show us gives students a deeper understanding of mathematical concepts and encourage discussions.I will be using these books a lot in my teaching and also trying to inspire my colleagues and class teachers to rethink their approach to teaching maths.
