Vegg Vegan Power Scramble, 3.8 oz (3.8 oz Bag)

Not sure why the low reviews maybe they didn’t cook it long enough? but this came out great for me. My family liked it also. We like just egg a lot and while this isn’t as good or easy to use for some things this is great. You can bake with this, make crepe like pancakes, perfect to use as coating to bread tofu and stuff. If the flavor isn’t enough try using some Indian black salt, nooch, garlic powder and pepper :) we also added some creamy plant milk and our vegan cheese and it was so delicious. I love the protein content, macros and ingredients for this and will for sure keep it on hand from now on :)

I was so excited to try this product. I have tried different brands and wanted something new. I tried it as soon as I received it. I followed directions exactly from the package and I got to be honest, this has got to be the worst egg substitute there can be. Not that it takes long to cook which i don’t mind (if only it was worth it) but after minutes the texture is like still puree, and when it finally cooks “completely” it looks and tastes grainy and does not even taste anything like an egg. So sorry for the bad review, but if you’re looking for an egg substitute because you don’t eat eggs like me, I recommend trying “Follow your Heart“ brand, VeganEgg. Texture and taste is exactly like a real egg so I will just stick to that brand for now even if it’s a little smelly because of the soy.

I purchased this item as a baby vegan. I am in the process of changing my lifestyle and diet. So I am on the look out for items that can assist me in this and somewhat make this transition easier by replacing some things as I go along. I really wanted to try Just Egg because I hear so much about it but it is completely sold out at the moment and not available on Amazon to purchase, so I chose this item instead. I acknowledge that I am a novice, so upon reading this review please care to remember this. I found this product very easy to use, and convenient. Since I am having some difficulty attaining vegan options in my area due to demand. I love that it was quick to purchase and was delivered to my home. (I still had to wait a day but not an issue for me.)Product did look to be all intact, presented to be a nice package, and safety measurements were not disrupted. The directions were not hard to follow but the issue I did have was with taste. I like my eggs with a little yolk. I attempted to make Vegg similar to how i like my eggs cooked and I am still deciding whether or not I actually disliked the taste or liked it or even cooked it properly. Considering it was my first time, I will try it again and try to experiment with it to see how I like it or fix the taste. I found it to be a little mushy. I am still unsure. I thought it tasted pretty okay with the tempeh bacon and tomatoes. The color thought was a little gray. Would I purchase again? Honestly, I do not think I will, if even after experimenting it still does not improve the taste for me. I will be looking up other ways of how to cook these standalone egg alternative.

I actually meant to order the egg yolk substitute, but after ordering this by mistake, I tried it and it’s kind of difficult to make and the taste is nothing like eggs and it’s not good. The Vegg egg yolk substitute is fantastic.

I found this based off a cookbook suggestion and I’m already done with it 🤣 to say the least I really liked it! This reminded me of the follow your heart vegan egg but definitely better. Im still experimenting with how much water to add to make it the texture I want either using a pan or a microwave (since you can do both).It’s super high in vegan protein for one serving and no fat which allows me to add what I want! I wish it came in a bigger size than this but I’m content for now. I’ve purchased three more bags to keep some kind of stock in my home.It can be a little costly if you plan to eat it every day so eat it every other day or a couple days a week if you do a full serving. If you don’t do a full serving then you have more wiggle room but still be mindful.

Does not taste like egg but does taste very good. Is a good breakfast "egg". Also tastes good mixed with muffin mix like a frittata.

I really wanted to like Vegg. Since Follow Your Heart’s vegan egg went off the market, like everyone else I’ve been searching for a replacement. This is not it. The flavor is bland, slightly bitter, and off putting. It tastes nothing like scrambled egg, even adding black salt did not help as the weird bitter flavor overpowered it. I could forgive the flavor if the texture was right. It’s not. Vegg has the texture of grainy playdough. It has this texture whether you cook it in the microwave (as recommended) or in a pan. It does not form curds or anything you could pretend is a curd. Using the microwave method I ended up with dense grainy piles. Using the stovetop method I had the same grainy piles, only more crumbly, and it took 10x as long to cook. It’s also this very strange brown-yellow color, like grainy mustard that has sat out too long. So disappointing.

Pros:- Texture is great, even smells a little stinky like eggs.- Cooked fast.- Taste is good, and it's an excellent carrier for other flavors. I added pico de gallo and shredded "cheese."- Over 20g of plant-based protein, low fat, low carb. I lift weights and am counting macros, so this was a huge win.- Availability (ordered online). I'm so over trying to find Just Egg on the shelves, but I prefer an egg substitute over a tofu scramble. Never liked Follow Your Heart much (took too long to cook, and was too mooshy).Cons:- Price (of course). It's about $14 for a bag that makes 12 eggs, plus shipping unless you have Prime.Overall: I highly recommend this one. It's my favorite so far and I'll definitely be reordering.

Tastes and looks like real eggs !!Only thing negative about this product is the price is very expensive

I was really excited to try this out as I was looking for something vegan that could satisfy egg cravings. I knew it wouldn't taste the same, but was very hopeful it would taste at least somewhat similar.But I was wrong. So very wrong.CONS:- I ordered 1x Scramble and 1x Egg yolk, as I wanted to have both options. I did not RECEIVE the scramble... instead they sent me 2x Egg Yolks instead. They shipped my order wrong. I didn't think of it as THAT big of a deal; more of an annoyance.- When I did try it, followed the instructions... well, it was DISGUSTING. I tried different things to make it taste better. Tried using it for French toast. Tried adding different tasty ingredients and spices... I was trying ANYTHING to make this edible and to not waste it, but I could NOT eat it. It was the grossest thing I've tried.PROS:- Umm... thinking here... Well. It smelled like eggs, I guess, that 'sulfur' type of smell. The powder was yellow, like egg.I'm very disappointed by this product (and the PRICE is crazy for such a small package). Ultimately I ended up throwing away half the used package as well as the FULL unopened package. Never again.If you want an egg replica, I'd recommend Simply Eggless Plant-based Liquid egg... you can make scrambled eggs, omelets, add to baking, etc. THIS is what an egg substitute should taste like. Has the same egg texture and cooks and scrambles just like an egg.

I love the vegg yolk but this stuff is not good! So disappointed. Just tastes like chickpea flour and doesn’t have the texture of scrambled eggs at all.

It's good stuff to put ketchup on. It's a vehicle for ketchup. Tasted similar to mashed potato for me. I used off label cookery methods: oven - use a hot oven if you think you need to do this, go 450 even. Rice cooker - give it more than the first round of cooking; it worked well.1 pack = 6 eggs ish
