Q: How do I know which one to start with? There are too many different levels of strength and it doesn’t provide any helpful info

Dear Nicholas: Many thanks for your inquiry. For an adult, normally if a person is ready for serious grip strength training but has not specifically trained with even a plastic-handled sporting goods store hand gripper or done any crushing work, we recommend that they start with the No. 1250 Captains of Crush Trainer gripper, or a No. 1402 CoC Sport gripper. If you have been working with sporting goods store grippers and have worked up into high reps, or if you use your hands daily in a stressful physical task, like construction work, then we recommend starting with the No. 1251 Captains of Crush No. 1 gripper. Q: How do i know which tug gripper to buy?

Dear Steven: You would select the IMTUGs based on your interest in developing your pinch grip, ring/pinkie fingers or middle/index fingers as well as where you are training on the Captains of Crush grippers. For example, if you are working with the CoC Guide or Sport, you will want an IMTUG1 or IMTUG2; if you are working with the CoC Trainer, Point Five, or No. 1, you will want an IMTUG2 (pinch), IMTUG3 (ring/pinkie), or IMTUG4 (middle/index). If you have any further questions, please don’t hesitate to ask. Thank you.

Q: How difficult is it to close a tug 7? is it easier than the coc no. 4?

7 is hard. You are suppose to start with the easy ones first, and work your way up

Q: How can you tell them apart? Do the grippers have a label on it to determine its resistance level?

on the bottom of each gripper there is a letter stamped to tell them apart. mine are G, S,T, and 0.5. that corresponds to 40, 60, 80, and 100 lbs. when you buy one, the packaging will list all the letters and what they correspond to.
