While the ONE-STAR reviews appear to be minimal, they are all professional law enforcement reviews that offer professional opinions of this product, and the overall consensus is that this product is CRAP. I gave it 5-Stars ONLY TO PUT MY REVIEW AT THE TOP TO MAKE IT MORE VISIBLE. BASED ON THE 100 LAW ENFORCEMENT REVIEWS I MUST ALSO GIVE THIS PRODUCT A FAILING GRADE. Works well on dogs, and I will presume on people as well.
We purchased these pepper sprays for two stray pitbulls which kept entering our yard and scaring our Aussie Shepherd, who is still just a puppy. The last time these two dogs came into our yard the male began growling at me. My wife had opportunity to use them one evening when the two dogs showed up, and even though she didn't hit either of them directly in the face - they were on the opposite side of a picket fence - the two dogs hightailed in out of the yard. In fact, they sat quite a distance away from our yard for about 20 minutes waiting for the effects of the spray to wear off. They haven't been back for several weeks now. This works well, and my only issue is that there is not much spray in the cannisters - basically single use each.

Small enough to carry anywhere. I'm not sure of the quality of the spray hopefully I will never have to know.

Pepper Spray, not Pepper Gel.
I was researching Pepper GELs the entire time, saw these, thought I was getting a great deal, and got them in the mail today only to realize it was Pepper Spray... Yes, my own fault. I should have read it more carefully. I had a couple tabs open to compare prices and sizes of the sprays. Didn't realize it said Pepper Sprays. Whatever. I'll keep them.
