To those complaining about hardness, remember to air your mattress for at least half a day, with frequent fluffingThe good: It's soft, but there's only so much 7cm will do. Nevertheless, my mattress sucked, so it was still a big difference to me. It is the equivalent to sleeping ontop a duvet (that's strapped to the bed firmly so doesn't wander). Plus fairly cheap for the size. Packaging was easy enough too.The bad: The featherproof part is a lie. After only 6 sleeps on it, I have several large patches of feathertips poking me through my fitted sheets. The way they puncture through It can feel like sleeping on stubble. Will be attempting to return it, as I can only assume this issue to get worse with time.Edit: Added a picture of one of the needle-like feathers penetrating the featherproof fabric (but without the fitted sheets, as this was during boxing it away for return).

Our mattress is only a couple of years old and purchased from a "never knowingly" brand, so it was not cheap. Following several holidays in decent hotels, it was realised that the mattress was firmer than originally imagined. This Topper really does soften up the bed. Not too much but enough to make all the difference. It only went on the bed this week, so it's not been washed yet, so cannot comment on that aspect. Otherwise, an excellent purchase.

I slept on this the for first time last night its not very good it went flat no comfort no bounce back what so ever i brought it because my mattress is hard and i have a bad back and my partner is nearly 9 months pregnant thought it would help us both i was wrong now im going to buy a new mattress not to happy😔

This product arrived and looked nice and it felt soft. So I put it on the bed. I threw the wrapper and box away because I thought it was alright until I slept on it. It was harder than my mattress you didn't sink into it you just lay on top of it. It was a waste of 40.00 pounds. Do not buy this item thinking you are getting a nice soft topper because you aren't. I don't know whether price has anything to do with it because my last one was by northern night's and was 100.00 pounds. I would not recommend it.

I'm afraid I cannot say this topper is very thick. It is odd that the 7cm thickness when measured at home looked ok but when the topper arrived it looked much thinner. It seems ok in itself but although it is on the bed I have not yet slept on it - the reason for that is the smell! I popped it on the guest bed to let it plump up but I cannot bear the smell. I dare not close the door as it is really horrid. I have left it there now for a month hoping the smell would go away. Disappointed.

It initially felt quite comfortable since my old mattress wasn't that good to begin with, so I felt relieved for a while. After about a couple of weeks I noticed the topper started losing feathers, some of the quills were half way out of the fabric, meaning I would get stabbed everytime it was time for bed. It gradually got worse as the feathers would get literally everywhere in room and my clothes. I still find the occasional feather laying about here and there even after getting rid of it several months ago. Not recommended!

Don't get me wrong, the Mattress topper is comfortable, until you're being pierced by feathers after a week... decided to take it off as it caused pure pure discomfort at this point. really disappointed with this product.and my return period has expired so i'm stuck with it👍

Just echoing some other reviews here, I've had this topper for a few months and it's a nightmare - I'm constantly removing quills from my body through the night! I've got a duvet on top of it and the quills still work their way through, they're like needles
