Hover X - Ultimate Gamer's LapDesk (For 13" and 15" Laptops)

Absolutely love this lap desk. At first I was searching for something a little cheaper and smaller, It is pretty big, but it's absolutely beautiful. I fell in love with it the second it arrived. I was so anxious for it. When I got it out of the box it still had dust on it like if it was just made for me when I ordered it. Don't know if it really was or wasn't but i enjoyed the whole cleaning it a little process. The mouse pad is very thick and squishy. It's a firm mouse pad, but you can definitely feel the quality of the pad as well. It's a very big mouse pad as you can see but It serves its purpose.The finish is very smooth no complains except on the bottom where the space for ventilation to pass by. That did prick me and I do have a splinter stuck in my hand that I've been fighting with to remove it. I'm losing it's winning lol, but it wasn't enough to deter me from how amazing this is. I don't really have a table that I use. To demonstrate the space available for that but I do place my phone there, and it fits. I just had to use the phone for the photo.All in all the package came quick. The product is amazing. I would easily spend $200 on something like this.It's also nice to customize it. Since it's wood anybody can stain it or paint it to a color of their choosing.My laptop is a Lenovo Thinkpad 15. It's a 15.6 inch and fits just fine. As you can see it even holds my laptop up even in tent mode.I paid $1800 for a great laptop and needed a great lap desk and mouse to go with.

The board is great, but for the price it should be flawless.Pros:-This desk is the perfect size for the 14 inch Razer Blade.-The weight is light enough to be comfortable without a cushion for moderate use.Cons:-The packaging might be the worst I've ever seen. The board came in a box within a larger Amazon box. The only padding was a packing paper (singular). When I unboxed the package the inner box was wide open and board was not at all secure.-The board has a few blemishes. There are black scuff marks around the edges and back. The mousepad has a tiny puncture in it making it less than smooth in one spot. There is a little bit of splintering throughout.

The wood on the bottom of this product was not finished which causes splinters to fall on your lap. I also saw chunchs missing. I am not sure if I got a defective one or what The price you pay for this product is not worth the risk of getting splinters. My package also arrived late. I asked for a refund the same day as I got it.

Really wanted to love the board. Size and material were great, but the quality of the cutouts were subpar...Could have used a good bit more sanding. Kept getting splinters. For the price, would have expected alot more

I was pretty excited when I first ordered this lapdesk as I had been looking for one for quite some time that I could use with my laptop. The Hover X has a cool layout with an integrated mousepad, vented laptop base and a slot for a tablet or smartphone. Overall the lapdesk is quite nice, I do however have a gripe with the item. I like the integrated mousepad and the laptop vent, what I don't like is the tablet slot. I was under the impression that the slot would have a felt or soft interior to protect the edges of your tablet or smartphone, but the slot is just a carved out wood piece with plastic border. The edges are quite rigid and sharp, and unless you have some kind of case or thin layer on the outside of your tablet/smartphone it can scratch the borders if it jostles around in the slot. Most tablets/smartphones will only fit the slot if they have either a thin case or are bare. For an iPad for example, if you have a smart case and the screen portion is folded back behind the iPad it will not fit (I tried with both an iPad Air 2 and an iPad Retina Mini 3. This is my only complaint with the item. I hope they remedy this in future models, as it appears from the item's picture that the tablet slot has some kind of blackened felt material in the tablet slot.

The Hover X is perfect for my Alienware 13 laptop and the mouse pad is great for my Razer Ouroboros mouse. If you have a recliner chair it sits on the arms perfectly and is quite comfortable. If you are just sitting on a coach or a bed I find if I put a pillow to support my mouse hand, it works out well. My only worry is keeping it protected. I'm not sure what would happen if a drink was spilt on the Hover X and I don't plan on testing it out. It is quite expensive so for the price I wish it came with a some kind of cover or perhaps have the inner box a better quality in which you can store it in when not in use. All and all I don't regret the purchase and I'm quite pleased with it.

Great design and i really like the vents for cooling. I have an older i-pad 2 and it does not fit in the plastic insert for tablets. Otherwise it is a quality made product. I would recommend it to anyone who uses a laptop and doesn't want to be stuck at a desk.

This is a beautifully made laptop desk. It works perfectly with my 15" gaming laptop. There is minimal exhaust heat through the large cutout design. The mouse pad is very slightly recessed which discourages your mouse from escaping. Modest weight, no power required, surprisingly comfortable even with shorts on. The device slot holds my iPhone nicely or a pair of glasses. Only improvement I'd suggest is to finely sand the interior of the cutout design - minor cosmetic nitpick. Overall a stellar job.
