Avalon Organics Shampoo, Gluten Free Cucumber, 11 Fluid Ounce

I used this shampoo for about a year and it slowly sucked the life out of my hair. I have very thin, fine hair and after using this shampoo for awhile, my hair started to fall out and my scalp became extremely dry and itchy. I thought at first it was because I was accidentally eating gluten but finally realized it was the shampoo. I switched shampoos about 3 weeks ago and my hair is fibally starting to go back to normal. I would not recommend this product to anyone with fine hair. I am not sure if it works well for other hair types but it is a thumbs down from me.

I like this shampoo so far. It's hard to find a good organic, natural shampoo that works well. This one does the job pretty well. It has a nice light smell, nothing too strong, fruity or floral so my husband can use it. It's clear and a bit thin, so you have to watch how much comes out of the bottle and be careful not too spill out of your hand. Lathers pretty well, although not as much as traditional commercial shampoos, which I find most of the natural lines of shampoos don't since it's the added chemicals (sulfates) that make it lather. This one lathers decently without having to dump the bottle on your hair. It's a bit pricey, but I do get a bit of discount with Subscribe & Save. I decent shampoo. It doesn't have a lot of the ingredients so many other shampoos contain. The smell is pleasant. This did not work as well as other varieties from Avalon in our hard water. We'll stick with those varieties in the future.

After my first purchase I was not crazy about this product, but I continued to use it, and happy I did. My natural curls have come back, they had been flat for sometime with using other products with heavy chemicals. I feel now using a more natural product has made a big difference.

I LOVE THIS SHAMPOO!! It's the only shampoo I've ever used that leaves my hair soft and clean, not feeling oily after a day but doesn't dry it out. I got the conditioner from a store but they were out of Shampoo. The Conditioner is just as good!

This shampoo is truly free of fragrance. It cleans my hair and scalp and it gentle. It is getting very hard to find shampoos to use because of my sensitivity. For now though, this shampoo is working for me.

I love this shampoo! I have long thick wavy hair, sensitive skin and allergies. This product gives me no issues and leaves my hair beautiful! I also pair it with the matching conditioner, which is just as great!

I'm very glad that Avalon makes a gluten-free and fragrance free shampoo. I have to switch out products that I use frequently, and this is a standby product - and works wonderfully! I love it!

Really not happy about this product. I'm a celiac and have psoriasis on my scalp too. The shampoo strips all moisture from the hair and you have to use a fair amount to get even a small lather maybe that's why? The conditioner though makes the shampoo look fantastic. It's horrendous. It leaves such a greasy residue on the hair. I have really dry hair, I've never experienced greasy hair before this conditioner. It really difficult to to spread the conditioner... it doesn't distribute at all and then when you rinse it don't come out and I rinsed for ages!!! which is probably why the hair is so yucky when it's dry. I recon after long use you'll have a severe build up on the scalp. Had to use head and shoulders to clear the build up. So disappointed.
