It’s more than a toy—it’s a tool for connection and regulation for both of them.
Tracker loves his Jolly Ball—as you can probably tell from the photos! It’s built tough for tugging, chasing, and carrying, and that built-in handle makes it one of his favorite toys for active play. But what makes the Jolly Ball extra special in our home is how perfectly it fits not just Tracker’s needs, but Wyatt’s too.Wyatt has always been a high vestibular and proprioceptive sensory seeker—in simple terms, that means his body and brain crave movement (like spinning, jumping, and running) and “heavy work” for his muscles (like lifting, pushing, and pulling). The Jolly Ball, being heavier than typical dog toys, isn’t just fun for Tracker—it doubles as a great way for Wyatt to meet those sensory needs in a safe, shared way. It’s more than a toy—it’s a tool for connection and regulation for both of them.Wyatt has Autism and Tracker is being trained as his service dog.

Best ball for my aggressive chewer
I have an aggressive chewer. Any ball I have given him is destroyed within minutes. I gave him this he literally played with it for 4 hours and then woke up twice in the middle of the night to play. The ball is still holding up. He takes it out with him and brings it back in. He LOVES this ball. Best ball/toy hands down.

Good and bad
Great for a Giant Schnauzer but my Standard Schnauzer chews it to pieces in a matter of minutes

My dog loves this ball
This is my second jolly ball, my brother's dog chewed the handle off of the first one and my dog was not very happy about that and no longer wanted to play with it because he had a hard time picking it up.He loves loves loves his jolly ball. He always wants me to play tug, but with him holding the handle and me holding the ball, which doesn't work out very well, for me at least. I can tell him to go find his big ball and he will walk around the yard looking for it and bring it to me. He will seek out and bring me sticks and balls when asked (and when not asked), and he always chooses the jolly ball over other balls.I have a hard time throwing it very far because my body is trying to fall apart, but my brother can really chunk it far. So if you have any sort of shoulder or arm problems, you might have a hard time throwing it very far like I do, but your dog will still love it. It's not super heavy, but it's definitely heavier than a tennis ball, which I can't throw very far either. Our first ball did not have a scent, but this one smelled like blueberries. It was nice while it lasted, now it probably smells like dirt and slobber. I'm sure the dogs can still smell the blueberry scent, but I can't and I'm not inclined to get my nose close enough to investigate further. This might be a nice feature for a visually impaired dog, but I'm not sure how powerful the scent is after some time, as stated above, I can no longer smell it from a distance but who knows what my dog can smell. While this ball looks really hard it's actually pretty malleable. Don't get me wrong, it will hurt your foot a little if you kick it and it will sure hurt if you played dodgeball with it. It's pretty firm yet malleable. My dog likes to repeatedly chomp down on it, biting it over and over for several minutes at a time. This is the same technique I have seen him use to dispatch a few unfortunate critters that weren't quite coordinated or intelligent enough to make an escape. I assume he uses his jolly ball to make sure he brings his a-game when a chomping opportunity arises, like the dog equivalent to lifting weights lol. Whatever the case, this activity is quite therapeutic to him and he really seems to enjoy it. No other toy seems to give him the same satisfaction. He gives it a resounding 10/10 for chompability. The jolly ball is definitely his 2nd favorite toy, #1 is reserved for the laser light, and the laser is really more of an addiction for my dog than a toy, so I guess technically the jolly ball is his #1 favorite toy! I'll definitely be replacing this one when the time comes!

This is the best ball!
This is the best ball! I have a German Shepherd that can kill a basketball in less than 3 minutes. This ball lasts around 6 months, which is pretty much a record for him. This ball gets thrown, kicked, chewed on, and he even plays soccer with it. It bounces off of trees, rocks, and the bricks on my house. What I'm trying to say is that it's the most durable ball I've found.I like the handle so I can get a good grip to throw it. He carries it by the handle which looks really cute.

Quality of the Product Appears to have gone down
I bought one of these a few months back and my dog loved it. It lasted for quite a while. I bought him a new one and noticed it seemed to be out of different material or different build quality. I didnt think much of it until he ripped apart the new one within a week. So i ordered the same original one i did of the light blue. Thinking it must just be a difference on the colors.I was wrong, this new one i just got is the same build quality as the one that lasted a week. Please go back to the build quality you originally had. A dog toy needs to be sturdy and tough and to last for 6 months to a year at least in my mind.If you are not able to maintain the same buold quality as the original then i would suggest a new design. You need to replace the pre-formed handle with an integrated rope pull that is is secured within the ball with the rope knotted and perhaps some sort of metal stopper inside the ball. The weak failure point on this ball is the handle where it connects to the ball. You need to change the material on how the handle connects in order for it to be more durable.I cannot recommend this ball any longer, no will i buy another until the build quality improves and the design is revisited to solve the problems i mentioned.
