Amazing to find a replacement for my old Friedrich AC remote control!
My Friedrich air conditioner is more than 20 years old, but it works beautifully. When I had it cleaned and prepared for the summer, the young man from the HVAC company told me this is one of the best air conditioners ever made, and that I'm lucky to have it. So when the remote controller died, I thought I could just live without it, but then I wondered, what if I could find a replacement? I was very excited to find this item, and happy to report that it works just fine, even though my AC is so old. What a find!

IT REALLY WORKS!!!!! Friedrich quietmaster air conditioner model # SS08J10R-1
The remote control for my Friedrich quietmaster air conditioner model # SS08J10R-1 stopped working. Not much longer after that the control panel stopped responding so I could turn the air conditioner on and off but it stayed at 60 degrees and I could not make any changes. I went through so many universal remotes and none worked. When I saw the listing for this replacement remote with my model number I was not very optimistic but I figured I would try it any way and it actually works on my air conditioner. I can hardly believe it! I am going to buy a second one for back up! It's pretty amazing to be able to control the air conditioner again!

Although more expensive than most replacement remotes, this one actually worked after two failed earlier attempts to replace my remote

Complete crap - waste of money - got my hopes up ...
Complete crap - waste of money - got my hopes up - will have to just unplug and plug and clamber up and down. Which is, you know, not what you're supposed to have to do.The most legit thing I can say is yes, they did come from China.Everyone else - save your $$.

This works fine!
I only use the on/off, temperature up/down and fan speed cooling controls. They all work just as well as those on the remote that came with the air conditioner.
