Hi, I'm a registered nurse and I am going to school to eventually be a nurse practitioner, so I have a lot of schooling to go and I write a lot pf papers.For the last several years I have been buying inexpensive computers in the $400-dollar-range and hoping they would last 4 years and then I would get another one ... the last computer I bought about a year ago, an HP, and it crashed once and I had it rebuilt for over $100 dollars and when it crashed a second time I decided to change my technique and I bought this laptop.I am astounded by how much better this computer is. Although I was nervous about working on a smaller computer this computer is more ergonomic. The keyboard feels good and is easy to use. The monitor is brighter and crisper so it doesn't feel as small. The sound has been excellent and I have had to use the microphone for two class projects and it is excellent. I had to reuse the mouse pad and it is very nice.I have to say that this is a far superior computer to anything that I have used in quite some time and I hope it lasts 4 years ...6/12/2020I'm still using and loving this computer! I'm starting graduate school soon and I'm sure this computer will carry me through. I'm also now watching movies on it and it's really great.

compact but not too small. Does everything much faster than my old computer. Battery life is plenty good. Have literally no complaints and nothing I would change about it. great machine

Update: though I still stand by the statements below I changed the review from 3 to 4 stars. Solely based on function and practicality. Very good functionally even if slower than the 16g computer BUT very very practical...all you need for school, lectures power points etc.It is a plain but practical computer. Bulky by today's standards to use as a 2 in one. I purchased it as a back up and commuter comp. The keyboard is nice but there is some spacing between the keys and the base so most light comes through there. The packaging was horrible and I almost returned it without opening it. Some packaging Minor details were missing such as anti static clear plastic which leads me to believe that this may have been opened or not as new as vaguely advertised. Bottom line I would not purchase as to the delivery and packaging and unless you are ok with slow speeds going from 16 r to 8, this is the just right practical laptop you need.

Since day one the laptop won't stay connected to the internet. I've talked to Samsung representatives MANY times, they always tell me to do the same stuff, and contact them again if I keep having the same problem. It's been 7 months like this. Save your money and buy something else! Because Samsung won't fix their defective products.

I had three big problems. (1) Samsung set the maxim volume for a headphone at very low at 37% of max. To increase beyond this level, you have to click the pop-up screen. This happens every time you plug in headphone and there is no way to de-activate this. The big problem is that, now my computer is stuck at this level (37%), and I don't even see the option to increase volume. I called Samsung, but the first person couldn't solve it, and transferred to someone. Waiting time was more than 2 hours, and I gave up. (2) the power button finger print scanner recognizes me only one in 5 times. I always have to type PIN. This is so even after I put all 5 fingers twice, and it has a problem with any finger. (3) I bought a brand-new, but the warranty was expired when it arrived. I called Samsung, but waiting time for phone is extremely long. It took total of 5 hours to fix this problem. Conclusion: I don't recommend people to buy this.

I like that it is small and light weight.

Bought this for school work and the touch screen for kids. The SSD does wonders to the speed of completing everything and the price is unbeatable.
