Q: I’m getting it for my cat’s 5” cube fountain, can i get the 30w one for the dry run feature? or i should go with the 10w for the tiny fountain

this is a heater it's about 3" in length and you can monitor the temp which sits outside of the container

Well, that's a tough one. The error codes are like E1, E2 etc. so its not that. Assuming the device is under water, and electricity is flowing to the heater, the only thing I would try is unpluging it, wait a minute or two and plug it back in. Sorry I could not help more.

Q: Does it turn off once it reaches the temp the user sets it at?

You can see the temperature displayed at all time. It is maintained at the set temperature.
