Should modify design
Once you remove the 2 side catches with blade or nail file, it is quite a solid, sturdy box. After modification it is OKEngineering suggestion: at the opposite side of the catches you should mold a slight depression in the plastic, so you could push down with your thumb, this would make gradual opening of the side catches easier and the whole storage box safer.

Exactly what I needed for my hard hat led light.
I wear a hardhat with a led light attached to it and takes AAA batteries. Used to take my batteries and put them in a row, place electrical tape around them and put them in designated pocket. I needed a solution to carry my spare batteries better when on the worksite. These container organizers are awesome! Light goes dim, I just pop open the container and get my batteries and snap it back shut. No more fighting unraveling rape in frigid temps.

Seems like quality stuff
These are made of fine materials and close very securely, and that is the only issue I have. They have the main latch in the middle on the AA and AAA cases, but then there are little hooks on the sides to keep them closed securely and I can barely open them up without cramming my thumb nail into it. If you want something where you will be accessing them frequently, maybe look for something else. These will hold batteries very securely!

Works great even with rechargeable AAs
I bought another 10 place battery holder that looks very similar, but is just the tiniest bit smaller. It would not close properly with 10 rechargeable cells, which are slightly larger diameter than alkaline AA cells. This battery case works perfectly with my Enloop cells. I need 10 cells for my ham radio, and this works perfectly to hold them. It also works fine for alkaline cells. It latches securely, as they emphasize in the description, but opening is not too hard. A perfectly serviceable battery case.

Nicely sized battery holder
Nicely sized battery holder. Stores AAA, AA and 3.67v Li-Ion batteries. When I travel on short trips, I carry one with fully charged rechargeables. On longer trips, I carry two of them (one for charged and one for uncharged) along with a compact USB charger like the LiitoKala Lii-402. If you're backpacking or traveling remote, add a small USB solar charger to complete the package.

Photographer -> use one for full charge and one for used batteries
As a photographer, I needed a good way to keep track of which (rechargeable) batteries I had used and which were still charged. These containers work great. I took one star off as they can be a little tough to open. Sure, that means they aren't opening up unexpectedly and spilling batteries all over my bag but... it can be a little frustrating when you are trying to change batteries quickly.

Great Battery Cases
These are great cases, and fit batteries perfectly. They will stack/organize well in a drawer. Also, if you store batteries for an extended period of time and one happens to leak, the goop will be contained in the case. My only gripe is that each case only holds 2 batteries - I wish this was designed to hold something more like 8.

I've had leaking batteries destroy hundreds of dollars worth of premium flashlights, especially when stored in a vehicle. I've been looking for a storage option, besides ziptop bags, to store my batteries. Although it may be inconvenient to have to load batteries into a flashlight before use, it sure beats a flashlight that doesn't work, due to the batteries leaking inside the flashlight. Getting the C & D-cell versions of these cases, for my various lights.
