Dorel Living Otum 24” Bathroom Vanity, Gray

The vanity came already built but we added some braces to make it more sturdy. The quality of workmanship was very good and it is attractive. The vanity was everything it described and we love the looks of it!

My wife was looking forward to her new Dorel vanity, model DA8050A. We ordered from Amazon and it arrived safely, although the box was damaged.Our deep disappointment at the below quality problems. I am sure that there are plenty more in the field with these problems.Bottom of sink basin was not molded flat and the round hole imperfect. This results in leaks regardless of new rubber gasket.The top drain hole is not aligned with the bottom hole causing misalignment at the top and the drain at a slight angle. Also, the top hole was molded poorly to allow a puddle. This will eventually result in mold.When inspecting the inside sink coating, your manufacturer missed part of the inside. This promotes growth and buildup.Over 1/2 the hinge screws were loose making the doors scratch when opening. Two of the screws could not be tightened because of wood damage, stripped. Whoever designed this should have used screw twice as long. There is plenty of depth.The doors needed realignment. Not hard. However, you should have designed the doors each 2 mm narrower to prevent damage after they eventually shift. The hinges don’t allow enough space when opening/closing.The valve access opening in the back should have been wider for common hot/cold valve spacing.Overall, very poor engineering, mold quality, attention to detail during manufacture and quality control department failure.I’ve temporarily stopped the drain leak by packing plumbers putty above the bottom gasket and rounding the bottom hole. It will eventually leak again.Temporarily fixing these problems cost me a lot of time since the old was removed as part of demo before Christmas.I called the number and the service representative just said to call Amazon and send it back. I am deeply disappointed. I believe that they should have known about these problems and fixed them before the product arrived to the consumer.I feel the company wasted my time unnecessarily and cheated me.On a positive note the countertop and backsplash are cut well and the cabinet wood looks beautiful.

This vanity is an excellent cabinet for the price. Soft closet is great and the interior of the cabinet is finished. The interior of the drawer is not. There are glue marks leftover on the sides that are going to need some serious goo-gone + magic eraser to get off.

This item was delivered with the top chipped in 3 places and the legs were uneven. I loved the look of this vanity and was very disappointed. I actually had to order 2 more from a different retailer before I got an unbroken one.

We like the way it looks, however, the quality of the quartz resin countertop leaves a little less to be desired. Hard water stains do not come off. If we don't wipe down the countertop each and every time we use the sink, it'll leave water stains everywhere, and once they set in, we have to use "0000" steel wool to rub the stains out. Nothing else works to remove them! ("0000" steel wool is extremely fine and will not scratch the surface.) And, when we had only had this vanity for less than 2 weeks, our cleaning lady accidentally sprayed & spilled a littles white vinegar on the countertop. Ruined those areas for good!! It left permanent etchings in the surface that can never be removed, unless you spend hundreds of dollars for a professional sanding/polishing! Not worth it! I plan on polishing out all the water stains with the "0000" steel wool, then sealing the countertop with "511 Quartz Countertop Sealer". I'll test it in an inconspicuous spot first & see what happens. I'll update this review soon with the results...

We purchased this sink to replace an ugly older sink. It made the 1/2 bath look more modern for sure. It arrived in great co diction which was one of my worries since others had damage to their item. The only issue I had was shipping. The shipping is the only reason I would not purchase again. But Amazon stepped in like true professionals and made sure the order was delivered, though very late.

The vanity is pre assembled, WELL made. The sink is very nice and the solid surface counter and back splash, are counter-top quality.The back panel has access for plumbing and can be removed, modified easily with a jig saw.I did have to remove my bathroom door to get inside the space (Small lav, shower). The dimensions provided are accurate as well.I paired it was a Moen faucet set with metal drain. Which I installed before bringing the unit into the bath, which made working on it a lot easier. It’s one of the best products, like this I’ve purchased.

When this arrived, I was first impressed how amazingly well protected the vanity was in its box. Everything in the box was kept substantially away from the inside of the box, and everything was fully supported by the packaging. It was essentially encapsulated in many pieces of rigid foam.When we had fully extricated the vanity, I continued to be impressed. There was nothing about the vanity that appeared cheap or poorly made, and careful inspection revealed no flaws. The finish was excellent, the materials solid, the top was very nice engineered stone with a good porcelain.My contractor commented how nice it was, and when I told him it came from Amazon and cost about $340 delivered he was genuinely impressed (the same vanity is sold by one of the big-box home stores for $460).There is only one thing to take into account before you order this. Because of the drawer in the bottom, the trap cannot be as low as if it were not there. My contractor needed to cut a small area of the shelf above the drawer for the trap, but it does not interfere with the drawer and is unobtrusive.
