UPDATE: So I charged it exactly 10 hours, as I found on a video review (again, nothing about this in the TINY directions) and the bank charged my phone the next day at various battery levels. It also charged on my desk, in indirect sunlight (through lead windows) during the morning hours. When the sun was on the other side of our building, it didn't charge, but I understand that.I updated my review from a 1 star to a 3 star based on it charging as expected. I cannot give it 5 stars because even though it was fully charged, we couldn't get the flashlight to work. Between that and the cryptic directions that did nothing to tell us about the proper initial charge, I'm still disappointed with this. We've bought small generic, no solar charge, banks that work just as well for a lot less**UPDATED ABOVE**Never would charge for us. Neither by outlet or by solar. It acts like it charges, but then nothing. Would have called into their support except the TINY directions sheet that came with it had no number to call. Very disappointed. My husband wanted this to take on his scouting camping trips.I tried to e-mail their support (after FINALLY finding their site) and that e-mail failed to send. The failure message is that the mailbox is unavailable.I also want to warn you that the FINE PRINT of the "warranty" says (directly quoted, including the terrible grammar) "If there have quality problems within 7 days after purchase,and there is no appearance damage and accessories complete,the user can ask for refund, replacement or repair. If there have quality problems for more than 7 days but within 15 days after purchase, and there is no appearance damage, the user can directly replace a new product or ask for repair."I'm trying another 10 hour outlet charge (per a Youtube video I found an NOT listed anywhere in the cryptic instructions). I will try to update this review when done, but I don't have high hopes.

The item is very attractive. It recharged my phone twice but then inexplicably stopped working. It has one green light. Doesn't turn blue anymore and the bright beam and SOS light don't work.

This is by far the bet and most durable portable charger I've ever had , it came really as a necessary item last weekend at the hurricane...It's very strong and I definitely recommend this one !👍👌

I bought this to use on the golf course. I listen to music through my phone with a speaker when I play. Figured here in North Carolina that the sun is out a fair amount that this might be a nice way to keep the phone & the speaker charged. Well.......... it does work but the solar function isn't that great. The first time I did charge completely in the home. The battery does work to recharge the phone & the speaker but after the initial charge wore off (keep in mind, it was in the sun), the battery was basically dead. Some charge but for the money, you'd be better off buying a battery. In essence, that is what this is now.Looks kinda cool. Oh by the way, the hook portion broke and the carabiner with the compass is useless.Great in theory though.

Worked great the first time i placed it in the sun at home just takes a while to charge (70% in two ish hours) so I brought it to Thailand with me and now the light only shows one green no matter how long you put it in sun and it will only charge if you keep pressing the power button to turn on the blue lights, so bummed cause it was such a cool idea and thing to have.. in theory :(

I bought this for my husband for a camping trip and he said it worked great! He was able to charge his phone quickly and it was easy to recharge the battery itself since it's solar. Recently, we have no power for 3 days because of Hurricane Michael and e were able to keep our phones charged the whole time. Love this product!!

I wouldn't recommend that you soak this thing rain is okay but dont go swimming with it. It has a part where you can seal the USB ports but the seal is not water tight. Good charge will charge 2 phones to 100% from 20%. And it says not to let it charge by the sunlight through glass but it charges from whatever natural light it receives so yes.
