Excellent Halloumi Cheese, perfect cooked in other dishes and for meat replacement
This is incredible authentic Halloumi cheese from Cyprus. Halloumi cheese has an extremely high melting point so will singe when baked at very high temperatures, like meat, rather than melt like the vast majority of cheeses. This makes it a perfect vegetarian meat replacement. When broiled at high temperature, the halloumi somewhat resembles chicken. The halloumi both absorbs and enhances the flavor from the rest of a dish, while being far softer and more moist than regular meat. I regularly use it in a vegetarian family North African/Middle Eastern meal alongside okra, cherry tomatoes, rice, and various spices. The halloumi is the best part of the meal, combining all the best flavors of the rest of the dish. It’s fairly expensive, but in my opinion its quality fully justifies the price. To importantly note, the Halloumi is by far best incorporated into larger meals, fully cooked. Eaten cold, it is still a fine cheese, but relatively bland since its primary role in dishes is absorbing and enhancing other flavors without overwhelming them.

Love Halloumi and it’s so hard to find!
Halloumi is my favorite cheese. It is so hard to find; am glad Amazon carries it. In my opinion, the favor is worth the price. Makes me excited to make Halloumi salads. I always crave Halloumi when the weather is getting warmer in the spring/summer. It’s so easy to make in a skillet. Always a crowd pleaser.

Just buy it
Yum. That’s really all I need to say. 🤣 This is delicious cheese. I use it in place of paneer in Indian food, because I can never find paneer anywhere. This is a much more flavorful, tangy, salty cheese than paneer, though, so if you’re looking for that lovely mild, milky taste of paneer, this is not it. But I do highly recommend this Halloumi!

A bit salty
This is a close as I can get to squeaky cheese. Great for grilling, baking, it frying. Eat it while it's hot... if it cools, it loses the texture
