SOUR PATCH KIDS Tropical Soft & Chewy Candy, 3.5 oz

Nice take on the classic Sour Patch Kids flavors. I like them.

I suspect that these are coated with a heavy dose of citric acid, because true to the label, they start out teasingly sour and finish to a smooth sweetness. Unlike many other candies of assorted flavors, where all of the flavors basically taste the same, you can really taste the difference between each of these. They have the same chew as all of the Sour Patch Kids, but these are tropical. And what does one do with a soft candy with a tropical flavor? Ever seen one of those monster Bloody Marys? Slices of this and that, skewered everything including hamburgers. I like to do the same thing with certain tropical drinks. Slices of fruit, cherries, and yes, skewered Sour Patch Kids! Guests always laugh and everyone eats them, unlike the bright red cherries that many people leave at the bottom of the glass. Great as a garnish.

Wish it had more candy but it was definitely good

If you're a fan of Sour Patch candy, and you enjoy tropical flavors, then you won't be disappointed. Sour on the outside, sweet and chewy on the inside! I liked the pineapple flavor the best, and picked those out to eat first. To be clear, these are just sugar bombs with no redeeming nutritional qualities. But you probably knew that already. :)

Any flavor or shape; I am and always will be a Sour Patch fan! I've been eating them since I was much younger and now over 40, I still enjoy them. These Tropical flavors are different than the berry and regular and I like that; although for people that don't like fruits like papaya and mango, it may not be to their liking. For the price delivered it's an okay value, as most often these are sold 10 for $10 at my grocery store. Overall I like the new flavor addition to change up my usual sweet tooth treat.

I'm not a huge fan of Sour Patch Kids... and this is why. They are sour for about three seconds and then fairly flavorless. I mean, the flavor just isn't strong like say a Starburst. And they are gummy in the not so good way, they are sticky gummy, not chewy gummy. Out of the four flavors, the passion fruit was probably my favorite, followed by pineapple, and paradise punch. Which brings me to the tropical twist flavor... only ONE was in the box and it was just 'okay'. Seriously, out of 50 or so pieces, only one?! Go back to the board and figure out how to make sure you get at least two per box... Will I buy these again? No. They simply are not a candy concoction I would recommend. Try again Mondelez...
