This popcorn maker does exactly what it’s supposed to—it pops kernels quickly and efficiently. The popcorn comes out fluffy and tastes great.That said, there were a couple of downsides. On the first use, it had a strong chemical smell, though that faded after a bit. Also, unless you hold a bowl directly in front of it, the popcorn tends to shoot everywhere, which makes cleanup a little annoying.Overall, it works as designed and makes good popcorn, just be prepared to manage the mess.

Be careful, popcorn goes flying everywhere and not just in the bowl!I gave it away to a friend that has kids and they put glasses on in case one flys in their eyes while watching it pop! 😂

While it does pop kernels well when they manage to stay inside the unit, a large number end up unpopped in the bowl or launched across the counter.
