If you’re buying these cables for an OP1, as advertised, you can just plug them in and they’ll work fine. though these cables can also be used universally with almost any wired mouse, but you might have to rearrange the wires or insert them manually; the wire arrangement can vary between mice, or the connector headers might be a completely different size, requiring you to manually place each wire in the correct order by hand. this is what i did with my zowie mice.

Used this to cut the outer sleeve off to create an even lighter cable with just the bare wires. I did just enough to go from the mouse stress relief to the end of my bungee. Surprisingly there were no downsides, it was noticeably lighter and despite being uglier it performed fantastic, I didn't notice a drop in performance. Although now that the Lethal Gaming Gear Cable is out its not really worth doing, but it was a fun experiment and it was done months before they released it so I got a better experience until I grabbed theirs.
