Stainless steel is not always magnetic. Check you fridge first. Also, if it is magnetic, these might be hard to pry off. Super strong

No. These are very strong magnets in terms of pull force in pounds per magnet. Not only will you most likely damage your phone and be extremely lucky it doesn't render it useless, but it would be difficult to remove your phone from the car phone holder because of it, and not just a little difficult. Magnetic force from these being applied to the battery, processor etc in your phone because of how strong they are would completely ruin a phone immediately.

It depends on what surface you are attaching to. Google can give you an idea of what to use. I have heard that hot glue should not be used as it can lessen the strength of the magnets.
