Wow. What an insane book. The artwork is absolutely jaw-dropping and the story is completely out of this world (literally). I used to read comics as a kid and was assigned this for my graduate school program. this is sort of a superhero tale but also fantasy, magic, esoteric, and high weirdness. But the art. Chef’s kiss!

Alan Moore is a true magician. He’s an excellent writer.

It's not the Absolute edition but it's a damn fine copy of the series. Really happy that I decided to go with this Deluxe Edition series of three instead of spending so much on the Absolutes (which I normally would, like with Sandman) OR going with the cheaper trade paperbacks, not that there's anything wrong with them. This is a really premium format and when the dust jacket is removed, it even features the beautiful white and gold illustrations featured on the aforementioned Absolutes. It even has some bonus material towards the end such as a never before published raw script by Alan Moore. The art and story are the Promethea we all know and mostly love. To those who are unfamiliar, it features one of the most unique heroines and even more unique paneling and art. Really good stuff here, I'm surprised this publication isn't more popular already.

A true work of Magick. I recommend anyone on the path, who studies the occult, to read this. It really works its way into the subconscious.

Promethea by Alan Moore: A tale that weaves together the various characters known as Promethea of fiction , and also as a metafictional primer for all things (Western) magick and occult- the Tarot and Qabalah are presented as part of the narrative, while also laying out a roadmap for the reader. Not to mention that this was also a hypersigil to supposedly initiate the end of the world (maybe it worked?). JH Williams absolutely stretches the limits of paneling innovation and comicbook art in the book.
