The GOAT Eraser
Seriously this thing is the goat eraser, you take it to your misspelled word or wrong number you wrote down and it's seriously like you never wrote it in the first place, no smearing, no annoying eraser bits all over the paper either, it rolls up into one big piece as you use it. The GOAT.

Great for everyday and erasing on watercolor paper without damaging paper fibers!
I came across a recommendation from another artist for these erasers and decided to give them a try, since I prefer to limit the mess I get from erasing at my illustration table when I'm working with watercolors. I found that I can easily erase lines from watercolor paper without damaging the fibers, which is really important in my work. The mess left behind from erasing is much less than when I use the standard white plastic erasers or gum erasers. They also erase more thoroughly than kneaded erasers, so I use those for lightening lines and these for completely erasing them. This is with traditional lead and graphite pencils. I believe they will also work with charcoal, but that's something I don't use very often, so I haven't tried them on that personally.I have come to like these erasers that they've become my daily use erasers both in and out of my studio. I now use them in my journaling practice and have one nearby whenever a pencil is in my hand. I highly recommend them as an alternative to the standard plastic erasers and prefer them in my own work. Good stuff!** If you found this review helpful, please mark it helpful to let me know and help other buyers. Thanks! **

Sick eraser ! No shreddy pieces everywhere doesn’t break
These erasers are so good. Here’s a pic of it erasing 8B, 6B, 4B, 2B and HB pencils.Like most erasers, It doesn’t erase aquarelle water soluble graphite once wet and painted but it is amazing for regular graphite.I use many different brands but the black is My favourite standard eraser. I used to use a factis black but this mono black is exactly the same or maybe better because it’s newer! It’ll roll off so you don’t have rubber all over your page. Just a roll.Art gum seems to crumble all over but mine is also old.I love mono’s zero round and rectangular click erasers for tiny spots and straight edges. I enjoy using the mouldable kneaded to lift away highlights. Before these, I’d sharpen a pentell or stædtler click eraser to a point or I wouldcarve a hunk of this eraser and stick it onto a broken pencil with the lead taken out so it could erase tiny spots so this, —this does it all !

Very Nice Eraser!
The media could not be loaded. What's there not to like about something that has 1 job. And, that it does that job super well. I posted a short video if your curious to see it in action. I use pentel 2b lead for all my pencils so that's what it's erasing. I'd buy a million times over, best eraser ever.

Works just as well as the no-longer-available Black Pearl erasers, IMHO
As others have mentioned, these are a great alternative to the now-discontinued Black Pearl® erasers! These work just as well (better, perhaps?) as the Pearl erasers at removing plain ’ol graphite pencil marks from plain 'ol notebook paper. I really can't speak to it's ability to remove ink, colored pencil, charcoal, etc., as I'm not even remotely talented enough to participate in those types of art!The only part I SLIGHTLY dislike is the shape. While I definitely may be biased after using the Black Pearl erasers for so long, I definitely still prefer the Pearl's "flattened oval" shape when it comes to gripping the eraser in the fingers/hand, as opposed to these small, perfectly rectangle shaped blocks. Somehow, the Pearl erasers provided both a thin edge that allowed very precise "one letter from the middle of the word" erasing, and also a large semi-flat surface for erasing big, thick "paragraph" size writings and/or drawings. This eraser will need some use before the super sharp edges are slightly dulled down and "broken in".Besides that, I am extremely happy that I was able to find a product that performs just a well as a discontinued one that I preferred (which hasn't been the case with the slew of other products that are getting changed and/or discontinued from every category imaginable these days... hygiene, food, clothing, electronics, etc!)The included photo is a sample of the ones that these companies (PaperMate, etc) constantly suggest we try after the discontinuation of the Black Pearl erasers, but I can confidentially say that NONE of the ones that have been suggested work anywhere close to the original Black Pearl, or even as well as this "MONO" Eraser!

Good substitute
I really wanted the Black Pearl erasers which are so very wonderful, but they are no longer manufactured, so I was looking for a replacement. I think this comes as close as anything else out there. Great for word puzzles and artwork.

Great eraser!
I desperately needed something to replace my Papermate black oval (pearl) erasers as those seem to have been discontinued. This eraser did not disappoint! Other reviews have mentioned they don’t get the eraser shavings with this product, but I definitely did. That is not a concern for me. Art is messy, right?I use these with X-Press It blending cards to erase my light pencil sketches before using Copic alcohol ink markers and there is never any trace of pencil or evidence of eraser use.
