Nice as a scope lens cover
Actually bought these as a replacement option for the front lens of my Leupold scope. A little pricey but for me, worth it. I don't like the flip up option that the scope came with. Doesn't feel fluid having to reach and flip it open while hunting and trying to move around the least amount possible. This fit perfectly and works well. I also own Vortex binoculars so if I ever needed these for the binoculars in the future or don't need it on my scope anymore, nice dual use option!

Better than original
My spouse is a birder with a pair of Cabela's 9X42 binoculars. Last weekend we noticed one of them hd broken and the cap was missing. I had an online chat with Cabela's...you know, big, famous chain...and they told me that Cabela's "doesn't make replacements for them, they are, after all, made in China and I should "Google it" to find a replacement cap"...for binos less than 12 months old. Mind you, the binos are very good but Cabela's ability to stand behind their products is not very good.Nice.I came here and found these and I can attest that they are vastly superior to the original eye cups that came on the binos. They are made of a stiffer rubber and a give a snug fit but the cups pop off just fine and re-seat easily. A great item at a great price that came the day after ordering. What's not to like?

Viper HD 42mm fit my older Nikon ProStaff 7 10x42 Binoculars
One star off for a vendor who won't publish ACTUAL interior dimensions of these caps. There seem to be three different "42mm" caps for varying Vortex models. The "Viper HD 42mm" model fit my older Nikon ProStaff 7 10x42 Binoculars nicely and are superior to the Nikon caps which fit in the lens bore. The outside diameter of the objective end is slightly tapered, approximately 51.5mm at the front and 53.5mm at the back of the lens cap. The tether ring is quite tight but stretches over the binocular body. I suppose time will tell if it over-stresses the material. The fit of the lid is perfect. It has just enough friction to stay in place and is easy to put on. Price is much better than the similar Opticron model.

Size description is inaccurate and unclear
The product description for this item is unclear and misleading, leading to the incorrect item size being ordered. If you order the 32mm caps, this measurement DOES NOT indicate the actual size of the caps (Either ID or OD) but rather ONLY indicates the size of the objective lenses in the specific make/model of binoculars that they are specifically intended for. II would not recommend purchasing these for ANY other brand or model of binoculars, as the likelihood that they will fit is extremely small.

These fit Nikon ProStaff 7S 10x30 binoculars, seem snug and sturdy, last 4 years
Based on other reviews, I bought these as replacements for the nearly-useless objective lens caps that come with the otherwise excellent Nikon ProStaff 7S 10x30 binoculars. The Nikon covers theoretically attach to the neck strap, which tends to pull them off the objective lenses if you let the glasses hang from the strap... and they attach to the neck strap with an open slot that allows them to pop off the strap and get lost. Even if you don't connect them to the strap, the Nikon covers attach only loosely and have tabs that catch on cases and clothing, so that they fall off easily. The Vortex lens caps are much, much better; they actually work. The rubber mounting rings fit snugly and should not come off. The lenscaps themselves have to be gently stretched to fit over the objective lenses. It takes one or two tries to get used to stretching them on and pressing them down all the way, but then they won't come off until you want them to. They still pop off easily enough with a flick of the tab. I will update this review if they stretch out and get loose over time, but there is no sign of that yet. By the way, the one-piece Nikon eyepiece cover that comes with the binoculars is slightly clunky-looking but works fine. The neck strap can thread through it so it can't fall off and get lost, and it comes off the eyepieces easily when needed. So if you get the Nikon ProStaff, there is no need to look for replacement eyepiece covers.Update: after a little over 4 years of fairly heavy use, the flexible hinge part of the both lens caps broke within days of each other. The lens caps still stick on over the objective lenses, but could easily get lost, since when not pressed over the lenses they are no longer connected to the binoculars. The soft plastic had gotten harder over the four years, although I hadn't noticed until the first one broke. Still, I think these remain the best option available, and I ordered a replacement set. The replacements appear identical, but softer and stretchier, since they are new. I had to cut the rings of the old ones to remove them, but that was easy to do. Now I expect another four years of trouble-free use.

Protects my optics.
Somewhere in the mountains of Colorado (or some dark corner of someones pickup) are the original covers from my binoculars. These fit nicely and worked great over the latest hunting season. They are worth the money.
