wonderful
beautiful, eye-opening book that illuminates the process of theosis, how it is achieved, and why it's so important to the orthodox faith. i have shared this book with many people, it was very helpful for my english-speaking orthodox friends. i gave my first copy away as a gift and i am reordering a second one.

Great book... Great topic
Great book on a topic that needs more exposure to Orthodox Christians.Oddly I purchased the book and then visited the author's Monastery on Mt Athos. What an amazing experience. Looking forward to returning...

Must read text, short and packs a punch
Great book, does a nice job of reminding the faithful what we are doing here. Its easy to get caught up in the world and its chaotic milieu but it can distract from the true purpose....that being Theosis. To sit on the divine council and as Paul said "Do you not know that we will judge angels? How much more the things of this life!" (1 Cor. 6:3, NIV). Do not be distracted from your real mission.

100% Orthodox
To “John Tripi”: are you even Orthodox? The Orthodox Divine Liturgy honors the Mother of God even more than the catholics, as do all the Orthodox saints. Everything written about her in this book is not even the least bit controversial or debatable from an Orthodox point of view. That you would buy and read this book, and yet harbor some sort of contempt for God’s Holy Mother is bizarre.

A Fantastic Summation of a Key Orthodox Doctrine
The teaching of theosis is what brought me into the Orthodox Church. As Saint Athanasius said, "God became man so that man may become god." Most denominations of Christianity seem to have forgot the intrinsic importance of deification and union with God in the Christian way of life. This book summarizes this intrinsic teaching in a concise way good for those not well acquainted with the intricacies of Orthodox theological terminology without being too simplistic. I highly recommend it for anyone interested in this essential doctrine, wether Orthodox Christian or not.

An Orthodox Christian "Summa Theologica"
Everyone to whom I have recommended this tiny, simple book agree that it is the most profound tome on the Christian life they have read.
