maxxipaws maxxiSAMe Advanced SAM-e Liver and Cognitive Supplement for Cats Given with Food, Powder 3.2 oz

In March of 2018 we adopted two adult cats. When we took them to the vet for a thorough check up, it was discovered that one of them had elevated liver enzymes and it was recommended that we put her on a SAMe supplement. Not wanting to have to give pills or drops, I looked around online and found this product by Maxxi which is a powder that can be mixed with canned cat food. It mixes easily into the food and does not seem to have an off taste or texture as our cat eats it with no problem. After 3 months on the supplement we had blood work done to check the liver enzymes. They had dropped significantly and we were told to continue the supplement and bring her back in another 3 months. That was done last week and her liver enzymes are normal! The product is a little pricey, but the first jar we bought lasted almost the whole 6 months.

We have an 11 year old cat that was showing severe signs of feline dementia. Started her on 1/2 scoop twice a day, no change the first 12 days then day 13 she stepped up and joined the others to eat and was much more aware. Slow going but the improvement is definite.We have been buying 5.3 OZ for 34.87 through March 2020. Just received a new container that is only 3.2 OZ exact same product and seller and is 44.99 now one month later. $10 more and just a little over half as much! WTH?

this is very bitter . my cat had nothing to do with it very difficult to give . I will go back to plls

My cat has been diagnosed with high liver enzymes for about 4 years now, and throughout that time I bought the pill version of SAM-E and it always helped to relieve his symptoms when administered properly. Two years ago he was diagnosed with diabetes, the hour wait with the pill became challenging in the AM due to him also needing insulin. This product so far has been great, I LOVE the fact you can give it with food and the B-12 is included in it, so for me, it's one less pill I have to give the poor guy.

I have been using this for my elderly cat. I mix it into wet food for her. She eats it no problem. We have been using it for about 2 weeks, eventually I will have her retested. Her vet suggested this product.

I was very happy to find this product because my cat will not take pills easily. I am able to sprinkle this on his wet food and he will eat it! I was worried about him not liking the taste.

Earlier this year my cat's liver enzymes tested extremely high. After multiple exams/tests, my vet eventually prescribed Prednisolone, Ursodiol, and Denamarin. But I could not get the Denamarin pills in her no matter what I tried. Plus, even if I could've, it was daunting that they were supposed to be taken an hour before food. So I started researching alternatives and found this. (Actually I found the Maxxidog version since Maxxicat is brand new, but they're exactly the same, just different packaging and different scoop size it looks like.) It took some time to get her on board with the taste, and I think it's still not her favorite, but she generally accepts it fine now. I emailed Maxxipaws customer service when I was having trouble at first and they confirmed I was on the right track by introducing it in new foods instead of her old standbys, and they gave some other suggestions too. Because she is on multiple meds it's hard to say which ones "worked", plus we're still figuring out what her ailment is exactly. But after about 2-3 months of meds including maxxiSAMe, her liver enzymes were all SIGNIFICANTLY improved (to quote the vet), either close to or within normal. This product is not cheap, but it seems like it's high quality, and for a cat it will last a long time. 1 scoop a day is about 5 months' worth, which makes the price very reasonable. I would take away a star for the taste apparently not being so great, but I have to add it back for being WAY more convenient and tolerable to my cat than the alternative, and for great customer service.

Facile da somministrare si può anche sciogliere in acqua ed usarlo con una siringa senza ago o mischiarlo nella pappa, è molto efficace sul fegato e anche per ridare vitalità al gatto.
