This crate is exactly as described. I am using it turned on its side (secured with bungee cords) as a step for my cat to reach his litter box. It is unfinished wood so I did have to inspect it for anything that looked like it might cause a splinter. (I found one piece that just pulled right off.) I’m planning on covering it with contact paper, staining it, or spray painting it when I have the time. I will note that I bought it hoping that it would slide over a Litter Genie (17” tall), but it did not fit. That was my error, I’m still new to the whole decorating thing — I used the outside dimensions to see if it would fit, not realizing that the inside dimensions would be smaller. It’s working great concealing some other cat stuff though, so it’s just a lesson learned for the future. I don’t think the inside dimensions are listed here so I’ll include them for anyone who is wondering: 16 7/16” x 12” x 9 1/16” (the depth is 9 1/16”).

LOVED THIS WOOD CRATE!I have purchased other wood crates over the years (that were more expensive)... this, by FAR, was the BEST wood crate I have received!!! Not only was this crate the best price, this crate smelled the best of ANY other wood crate I have EVER purchased, it had the nicest quality of wood, had the smoothest texture of all other wooden crates (felt like it was sanded on ALL sides!), and I was MOST happy with THIS crate compared to ANY of the other crates I have ever purchased from Amazon! I purchased this crate to put potted succulents and cacti on this. In the past, I have also purchased crates for wedding reception and home decor.

I needed to elevate my office PC off the floor so that I could better reach it. It is a very large PC. I thought that this crate would work and I was right. Its dimensions were just perfect. And it is sturdy enough to support the PC without the crate rocking or sagging. I'm glad I got this crate. It's a bit pricey but I would recommend it to anyone in having a similar situation.

I ordered two crates and one was accidently routed away from my state, so it was a bit delayed, but not by much. When I left a message about only receiving one, they got back to me right away and explained what had happened. Very professional. I wanted to use the crates as a bookcase, so when one arrived with one the slats broken, I just put it back together and put my books on top of it. No problem. It wasn't worth it to me to wait for a replacement and the bookcase I created works just fine. The sides of the crates are very substantial, but the slats are not very thick and they are a bit rough, needing just a very quick sanding. All things considered, I would order from the company again.

I am not able to bend because of hip surgery. Bought 2, one on top of the other. Placed corner litter box on top and a mat. My cat took to it right away, no bending. I sit on my Walker can scoop an thoroughly clean her box.

I have one section of a PAX IKEA wardrobe frame that was left open for linens storage, but it turned out that stacks of linens would tumble out every time I tried to retrieve something. After a lengthy search (no kidding, it's been 3 years) for some sort of bin that would fit the frame exactly, I found these. Every once in a while, things do line up nicely.

Do NOT buy this crate for storing Vinyl Records - Dimensions given online were measured outside to outside, and records do Not fit lengthwise! It's about a quarter inch too short.They'll fit widthwise, but then there's wasted space on either side of the album. However, if this crate was manufactured with those dimensions given, but instead, measured from inside to inside, record albums would fit okay, lengthwise, and you could probably hold about 75 or so albums, like other similar wooden crates on the market. Pretty silly oversight on their part.Furthermore, to add insult to injury, the crate uses STAPLES to hold it together, instead of Screws! What were they thinking?!? A crate full of records would probably blow apart, the first time it was ever picked up and therefore, this product is not fit for vinyl at all really and is better suited for holding towels or something like that.Sure, this crate could be modified and enhanced somewhat, for record storage; widened and screwed together, but you're better off buying a different product altogether or possibly build your own, for much less or possibly free. Steer clear!
