LinenMeNatural Striped Linen Bath Towel Lucas 100 x 150 cm, Hand made in EU

I bought this after getting a few cotton hammam towels, which I find really practical as a nicer alternatives to microfibre to keep in my swimming bag. The hammam towels are compact and very absorbent, but only come in bath sheet size and I thought it might be useful sometimes to have something smaller. Linen towels looked interesting and these ones are quite affordable, so I got the 70x130 size to try.It looks nice - understated, and the colour is warm white/ivory as the picture shows. It was soft from the start (my hammam towels are slightly abrasive), but it doesn't get me dry as well as terry or the hammam towels even though I prewashed it and don't use softeners. My hammam towels have a sort of honeycomb weave which adds a lot of texture, while the weave of this is very plain. Maybe the waffle or wafer towels would be different.It's cool that it folds up to about the size of a 500ml water bottle, so I might take it out in summer. At the moment I use it at home if my other towels are in the wash, or as a sweat towel when I exercise. It's kind of nice, but definitely not a must-have for me.Update: It's been through the wash a few times now (took a while because I didn't use it much) and works better now :)

would have likes it to be more of a towel felt it was more of a table cloth

I love this towel. I don't know how it compares to other linen towels because this is the first one I've bought but compared to terry cloth cotton towels, this one wins hands down for me.I have reasonably sensitive skin and wavy/curly hair. The linen towel is very absorbant and doesn't have loops to catch my hair. My skin is less irritated and my hair is less frizzy. This towel is much more compact when folded and dries faster too. I don't use fabric conditioner with towels so the terry cloth ones were always scratchy but this towel comes out fine without fabric conditioner.Other than the pattern (which I personally feel looks more suitable for a tablecloth or bedspread) I have nothing negative to say about this towel.

Great towel. Linen is such a good material! I took this camping with me. It took up way less space than a regular towel. Despite a very damp week in a tent, I found that this was dry every morning when I came to use it, and never got that damp smell that everything gets when camping in the rain. It's a good size, not enough for a big guy like me to wrap Around himself and walk around in, but more than enough to dry me thoroughly.

Linen towels are very absorbent, quick drying, odor resistant and, most importantly for me, thin and light. This makes them the perfect travel towels.

Better than expected and dries fast!
