Grant 3163 Installation Kit

Good product, had to do a little modifying with it but worked out good.

This adapter is vehicle specific while the directions are not.However, the instructions are very good. Just be certain to read both sides of the instructions.My Truck is a 1971 Chevy which is about as simple as it gets. This adapter worked perfectly.Be careful to order the adapter to fit your vehicle and look up how to remove the old old wheel then read the instructions.This kit makes it easy once the old steering wheel is off.

Would have been 5 stars if the horn cap spring was large enough to stay in place without falling down, over or out. Other than that, exactly as expected.

Bought as a replacement for the same product that had stripped bolt holes in my 1971 Chevy C10. There are extra parts included for whichever wheel type you have. I have a Grant Elite GT wheel, so most of the parts were not used. Easy to install, although you will need a steering wheel puller.

My biggest issue with all of Grant's installation kits it the documentation. This is what I would call a moderate level automotive mechanical project. There are plenty of things you can do wrong which can cause anything from a malfunctioning horn to pinched wires, etc. Their documentation lacks clarity and can be confusing as to whether you use the original part or the one in the kit. If you look through past reviews, this is an ongoing complaint. Overall, I like their products.

Overpriced. Should be maybe $20. All I needed was the wire plunger part but that is not sold separately, so I was stuck buying this kit.
