Switchbot Smart Switch Button Pusher (Bluetooth) – Fingerbot for Rocker Switch/One-Way Buttons, App Timer Control, No Wiring, Optional Hub Required for Voice/Remote, Black

I purchased my first Switchbot Bot back in 2021 so that I could automate my garage door (I have a camera in the garage to verify if it is up or down, and use the bot on either the push button in the garage or a space remote). It worked perfectly for this function at all three of my rental houses since then, allowing me to automate something that is typically not included with the rental, while easily removing it when I leave. Since I have a two door garage setup now, I purchased an extra bot to automate both doors, since it was simply the most cost effective, reliable way to do this as compared to doing wiring, installing other apps, or some other invasive install that I would have to remove the next time I move (I am in the military, so frequent moves are a way of life). It's a no-brainer since I already have a Switchbot Hub.

All I can say about these switch bots is WOW! When I changed security companies my Z wave light controls stop working. So, I had no way of automatically turning my lights on and off. I had to manually turn them on at night and off at daybreak. I was just about to hire an electrician to rewire my light switch and I saw the switch bots on Amazon. I had no idea that something like this was out there and boy! what a remarkable device. It turns my lights on and off through the free phone app. I highly recommend this device!

Bought my first one in August 2021 and it stopped working today in January 2026. The arm stopped actuating even after battery replacements and firmware updates. I guess that's a good enough long run being used almost everyday. I put this on my Breville Barista Express and had it on a daily schedule (except for when we're traveling). It's mostly reliable and easy to debug when there is a problem. It's very quiet and doesn't burn through batteries. I like the ability to program this button for my non-automated machine so I'm repurchasing.

Since I was annoyed by my graphic card’s RGB lights on while gaming in the dark, but not willing to install yet another program that will take lot of computer’s resources to turn those OFF, I decided to go with this Switchbot system. Of course, it only works if your graphic card is equipped with a RGB ON/OFF button like mine did. The SwitchBot Bot couldn’t be simpler. The Bluetooth-only device is about the size of a pillbox and features a tiny, telescoping arm that pops out of the center of one side before retreating into the unit. The arm can only extend a couple millimeters, which means it can flip a rocker-style light switch, or any other “press style” switches. A bit more about this device: It’s universal, and works well with just about any rocker switch and button of any appliance. It’s also a smart Bluetooth button pusher for your smart home. It supports Press mode/Switch mode/custom mode. With the included add-on sticker, switch mode helps to turn your light on/off. And of course, it’s easy to install and set up - Tape it right next to a rocker switch or button with a (included) 3M sticker in 5 seconds. No swapping, no tools are required. Easy App operation within Bluetooth range. Used twice a day, the battery is supposed to lasts approximately 600 days. Still, will have to test that though and see if true. While the Bot is clearly focused on light switches, if you have another device with a button in just the right place, like I did with my graphic card RGB, the Bot might work with it, too. I was able to get the Bot to work with turning ON/OFF my RGB without any problem (see video). Some other user may see another use for it on their coffee machine, or any other devices that are not “smart”, but do have a simple button on them.

The first one I got came with a drained battery and had no pull tab. Ordered a second one and purchased new batteries just in case. I was able to connect initially and then it just went downhill from there. I set up a schedule, tested a little bit pressing the button. Seemed to work with Bluetooth on and was very laggy with WiFi. But I though the schedule should kick in regardless. Next morning, I was excited to head downstairs and see my espresso machine preheated from the bot pressing the button. Machine lights weren't on...the parts were cold to the touch. I check the app and see nothing in the logs. I try to press the button and it just fails. I put in a brand new battery and tested the voltage with a multimeter...still nothing. The bot was stuck in some sort of battery draining mode. The green light was constantly on and the battery voltage was drained by the second (checking with a multimeter). I tried the reset button...still nothing. Searched around online and apparently taking out the battery, pressing the reset button and putting back the battery should help. And it did! I connected again, I tested the button press, set up the schedule. And what do you know? Back to Groundhog Day. I wake up, head downstairs and my machine never turned on. The hub was right next to the bot. I had the latest firmware. But, still couldn't work for the intended use. You can see my experience using the bot in my video. I have SwitchBot's thermostats which have been working but this device...is just junk. Extremely frustrating. Maybe the older models worked but not what's being sold now.

Produit très pratique pour automatiser un appareil ancien qui ne dispose pas de fonctions connectées. Je l’utilise avec un iRobot d’ancienne génération et cela fonctionne très bien pour appuyer automatiquement sur le bouton power. Dans mon cas, j’ai dû imprimer un petit réhausseur en impression 3D afin d’adapter correctement le poussoir au bouton d’allumage. Une fois cette adaptation faite, le SwitchBot remplit parfaitement son rôle et devient programmable via l’application. Il fonctionne uniquement en Bluetooth par défaut, sans connexion Wi-Fi. Pour un usage à distance ou avec Alexa, l’ajout du SwitchBot Hub est nécessaire. Cela reste à prendre en compte si on veux le wifi a tout pris. En résumé, très bonne solution pour rendre “intelligent” un appareil non connecté, à condition d’accepter les limites du Bluetooth et parfois une petite adaptation mécanique.

I've tried so many smart home products across brands. The primary issue I have is that they work MOST of the times, not ALL the time. If smart home (let's use SM for this review) products are not reliable, the whole value proposition is lost as it creates added stress and frustration as opposed to convenience. This product highly impressed me. I tried using it for two use cases - pressing the button on my white noise machine and switching on/off my geyser switch. It worked like charm for both use cases. Everything in the product is right - the adhesives are strong, the attachment for switch mode is perfect, and it works every single time reliably. I recently got the remote and paired it with the Bot. Works seamlessly. My wife loved the product but she didn't like the idea of opening an app to switch on/off something. The remote solved that and she loves the experience now. Few such products exist in the market that are of this good quality and work as promised! Highly recommend!

Great product, I use it to automate light switches coupled with a door sensor and it simplified everything at low cost!

Wszystko działa jak należy. Bardzo dobry zakup. Urządzenie jest małe i ciche. Ma szybki czas reakcji. Posiada możliwość ustawienia czasu przytrzymania przycisku. Używam do włączania i wyłączania ekspresu do kawy przy użyciu Alexy. Nie podoba mi się interfejs aplikacji.

masa da ulaşılması zor yerde duran mac mini için aldım ama mac in power tuşu köşede kalıyor bunun için 3D printer dan küçük bir parça basmam gerekti.. ihtiyacı olan varsa thingiverse'e mac mini switchbot yazdığında çıkıyor.. tabii bunun haricinde bir de hub a ihtiyaç varmış bunu görünce bi vaz geçtim ama sonra ışıklar da kullanırm diye her ikisinide aldım.. şuan hub ve alexa ile.. mac mini, osram kumandalı ampulleri, köşede duran ledbarı ve gece lambasını kontrol edebiliyorum.
