I’ve used it on several canoeing trips. It floats just enough to hang next to boat/canoe. Had 8 dozen leaches, and could have more. Tip: to sink it in the cold of the lake, put a rock in it and make sure to twist cap good, especially if you have otters in your area.

I use this for leaches and it the best in the marker! For the price and quality it can’t be beat! Use almost daily on the lake!

I like this little live bait bucket. It creates very little drag when surf waves pass over it. The bigger bucket can almost jerk you off your feet when large surf takes them. Only four stars because it's volume is very small but you could keep a dozen shrimp alive or minows. The other is you need both hands to open and close it. This is awkward while trying to hold your fishing poll while wad fishing.

Bought this for a trip to BWCA to store leaches. Horrible design. You have to unscrew the top several times to open which is not the most convenient in a canoe. If you leave this in the shallow surf overnight, even small wave action will cause the container top to loosen if not come completely off releasing all your bait. Sand can get lodged in the threading and prevent the top from being tightened. leaches can escape around the screens in the top or through the threading holding the bottom and top together.I just got a Frabill instead. The top has a locking tab to prevent it from coming loose. Much higher quality and yet, much less money.

I expected a lot more for the price of this. It's made of very thin, very cheap, blow molded plastic. It's barely more durable than a 2 litter soda bottle.As for function, it's terrible. You have to completely unscrew and remove the top to access bait. It's awkward, clumsy, and it's easy to spill bait.

My dad saw this years ago in Minnesota when he was on a fishing trip. He always kicked himself for not getting one then. So I surprised him with it and he loved it. It locks easily and quickly, keeps the leeches so much easier than other designs.

Compact

Small but mighty .I wish they had a medium size as the next and only size up will not fit a 5 gallon bucket.
