Picked this up to add to my 20s gear. Excellent choice!The gold is definitely gold and goes well with the browns and creams of the day.Strethcy fabric - easy to put on and stays put. Can also be worn plain (you attach then pin, if desired)Being as it's gathered on both sides, with it worn as shown, there is some hair uncovrred in the back, my only complaint. All in all, love it!

I looked amazing...but broach broke.
The cap was great. I have locs so I needed something spacious to cover them to enhance my travel back into the 1920s. However, I wish it was available in a bigger size so I could’ve completely put them away. Also the broach broke so I had to use one from another purchase. But I would get it in another color for sure.

Perfect unique look for our 1920s party! Was so fun to wear something other than the typical flapper headpiece. My friend swapped out the pin on the front for a bigger one- and it looked great. Cheap quality, but that’s expected on amazon.

Great for a costume party with a caveat.
I bought this for a Halloween costume. It worked well for what I wanted. It would not work for a 20s party, it’s a vinyl type material, and it’s obvious even from a distance.

stylish, very Gatsby era
I bought this for an upcoming trip to for the lake region of Italy to keep my hair out of my face while looking retro stylish. It fits as expected and the broach is removable, which l like. I had to move it around several times before it was in the exact spot that I liked.

I like the style of the hat and the broach. However, the hat looks more brownish in the picture, but it is not brown, it is a very bright gold. I didn't buy the hat for a costume; I bought it to wear as a regular hat (I like vintage). I don't think I will be able to wear it as a regular hat due to the color, but I think I will keep it for a costume piece. It's a little large for me also, but I have a very small head for an adult, so the size might be better for someone else.

Pretty brooch, hat not so much.
Material feels very stiff and scratchy for a stretch fabric. Hat is really very small and only suitable for people who have thin short hair as it keeps sliding off. Brooch is very pretty.
