Disc 1 features the debut "999" album which hit No.53 in the UK National Chart and includes the singles 'Me And My Desire' and 'Emergency'. The second disc has the "Separates" album from 1978 which featured the anthemic 'Homicide' (a UK No.40 hit single) and the band's ode to their following, 'Feelin' Alright With The Crew'. "The Biggest Prize In Sport" is on Disc 3 and it features the 'Trouble' 45. Disc 4 is a 22 track round-up of non-LP A and B-sides and rare, compilation-only, cuts. Includes the Punk classic 'Nasty! Nasty!', the 7" versions of singles such as 'I'm Alive' and 'No Pity' plus the live mini LP "The Biggest Tour In Sport" from their mega coast to coast trek across America. Each disc comes in a card wallet featuring a replica of the original LP artwork whilst the 20 page booklet contains detailed liner notes, lots of clippings, memorabilia and record sleeves from the era. Still going strong to this day, some 40 odd years after forming and still featuring three quarters of their original line up!

GREAT CAPTAIN OI RELEASE, ALL THE 999 RECORDED OUTPUT FROM 1977 TO 1980
i have been into the 999 since 1980 now, i finally sprung for this set as i am such a huge fan now for over 40 years, loved the first 2 classic albums as well as there third from 1980 wich was decent, got to love the 4th disc rarities for all the non lp tracks & live tracks and some different mixes from way back then. this comes in a really nice clam shell box set with mini lp replication sleeves that where done ( as best they could) to replicate the original uk lps, 999 have always been a very unique band to me as i never felt they where a full on 77 uk punk band, yes of coarse they where punk but also i always heard a bit of pub rock, hard rock and general oldschool 60s style rock sounds across many of there albums (especially in this box set) im glad i finally got around to getting a hold of this as of coarse i last bought a few of these jewel case uk cd editions 6 or 7 years back and i have the first 2 lps as JAPAN pressings wich are very hard to find now and the biggest prize in sport lp i bought in 1980, the 999 kept up releasing albums all through the 80s,90s and i belive they are still around today doing those european/uk vinatge punk festivals but my heart and soul for the band goes back to these days and what is disapointing is i LOVED the concrete record in 1981 and there was a few records after that between 83 to 86/87 but there is no clam shell box set for those records probably becouse of some licensing crap sadly but i would love a clam shell set from that early to mid 80s era as well...... anyway this is a great high quality release!!! the remastering on all 4 discs sounds great!!!!
