I'm so glad I purchased this fan as it is exactly the style I wanted for my covered patio and outdoor area. I purchased 3 of these fans about a month ago. One has already stopped working. I contacted the seller and I am waiting for their response. They are very nice looking but as other reviewer mentioned they take time to start (the ones that still work). I have never seen fans like this, the delay to start is very noticeableUpdate a year later: LampPlus replaced the one that died after 3 months. The other two died in the last couple of months. These fans are terrible, do not purchase!!!

For whatever reason, the highest speed is 1 on the remote. 6 is the slowest setting. So people hit 6 and get mad thinking that’s the fastest it goes. This thing works great and really pushes air on high. There are detailed instructions for resetting the remote if it gets disconnected. Had to call for support.

I bought two of this fan a little over a year ago for a patio addition I had done.The Pros:- Fan speeds are nice, my wife typically likes a lot of wind and these deliver. As they are DC motors they are relatively very quiet.- The look and metal makes these idea for outdoor use. They are elegant, slightly industrial and slightly classic looking for outdoor use. This is why I picked them.- Relatively inexpensive for 60" metal outdoor fans.The Cons:- These fans do not work if they are on a wall switch. They must run hot continuously or they will not start again. I initially had the fans on separate switches so I could control them without remotes, just flip a switch for fan 1, and fan 2 if desired. The fans continuously failed to work when switched. As soon as I had them always run hot (meaning have them just work via the provided remote) they have worked without issues- Lamps Plus customer service leaves a lot to be desired. It really depends on who you get to help you whether or not a satisfactory resolution will occur. My advice, make sure you speak to one of their Technical Support Electricians, they are the best and easiest help.- It is hard to program the remotes to work independently. You have to unhook one, program the other, then vice versa to get the other one if you want Remote 1 working Fan 1 and Remote 2 working Fan 2. If there is ever a problem, you must do that again. I have opted, to my dissatisfaction to have 1 remote work both, so both are on or off period.- The remote makes no sound to alert you the message was sent and received from the fan. A little blue light shines when you press a button, then you have to hope it was received. Once everything works, I guess this is okay, but when there are issues, this is quite bothersome as you don't know if it is the remote or the fan with the issue.- Although the fan blades are metal, they do bend with strong wind. I live in Louisiana and we have strong winds in Tropical Storms and Hurricanes. The blades bent and made the fan wobbly and they had to be adjusted. This is not a big deal but thought I would mention it.Overall, based on all of the issues I have had getting these working, I would say not to buy them. But to be fair, based on the issues I had I scoured the internet and brick and mortar stores looking for anything I liked as much from a look and price perspective and there was nothing. I could double the price to get something comparable.Therefore, if the con's don't scare you and the pro's are what you are looking for, I would recommend the fans,

It took 4 phone calls with tech support for them finally to admit the fan is "finnicky" and just return it for a refund. Wouldn't come on at all, then it would only spin on lowest setting, remote never worked, had it installed byb2 separate professional electricians and they couldn't get it to work either. Piece of junk. For a fan that's hundreds of dollars it isn't even close to worth the money.

Unsure how to rate. Received the blades to the fan but nothing else! The blades look wonderful, maybe I am supposed to hold the blades and spin myself?!?
