Smith's 50902 Cordless Knife & Tool Sharpener, 3 Abrasive Belts Lithium Ion Batteries (Incl), Yellow/Black

Purchased this item used, but when I received it, no scratches or dings, and it actually looked new in the box. Very versatile sharpener. Only one drawback is the charge does not last as long as I had hoped and the recharge time is a little long. I was considering opening the device and try and upgrade the rechargeable batter to lengthen the life of the charge. But all in all, very happy with the purchase.

Put a belt on after receiving and turned the switch on. It wouldn't turn the belt. Charged the sharpener and tried again. Belt turned so I started to sharpen a knife. Three passes and one of the plastic guide roller broke. Didn't get the knife sharp. I am returning. Also only got two belts instead of three.

It worked better then I thought it would. For the price, I thought that it would be adequate but it worked far better than expected.

Once you get the feel for using it it's great. I recommend practicing on some old knives first. It's really easy to grind too much material until you get the knack of it.

Didn't even get the oprotunity to log more then 2 hours with this before it quit working when I pres the power button it works for about 10 seconds before turning off when I hit the power button again it doesn't come back on after about 30 seconds it comes back on for less than 5 seconds before shutting off.

I received this as a gift. Charged it, set it up as per instructions. It ran for about half a minute and quit. put it back on the charger until the charge light went out. Still won't run.Device was extremely loud while it ran.Here's something interesting: There's no way to register the product for the "warranty." The web address is nonexistent. The detachable warranty card wants a number on the bottom of the device. There is no number on the bottom of the device.Since I received it as a gift, I phoned in to the number listed. They said they would email me a shipping label. That never arrived - and yes - I checked the spam folder.Finally had to contact the guy that sent me this to see if there was the possibility of returning it to the vendor he purchased from so at least he could get a refund - if waiting for the return label hasn't already run out the clock on returning it.No warranty. No service. Crap device. Crap company.Avoid.
