Q: No these close up in the afternoon

they close up during the heat of the day but open in the evening and are open until it heats up the next dsy.

Q: Do these re-seed for next year?

It depends on what zone you live in. I live in 7b. We had a warmer winter than usual and the one's I planted last year sprouted back up this year. But yes these do drop seeds.

Q: The description says "climbing"; do they climb a trellis by themselves?

No Four 0 Clocks that I know of, climb. I wish they did. They grow so easily and come back every year. Very fragrant.
