Very durable and bright

My first UK 4AA underwater flashlight bulb lasted only a few dives. I put it away years ago, and then recently went to find a new bulb for it. Much to my surprise, the bulbs are outrageously priced. I ended up buying the whole new flashlight again because it was close to the cost of the bulb alone...or should I say flashlight 'head' because the bulb and reflector are a single piece. Anyway, I love flashlights and the LED lights are so much better and last longer than this old bulb style....so, this one needs an update to this decade. It works ok, but compared to the light output vs. size of newer lights....this is old-school.

This light is an excellent light for the value. This is my second such light that is worn on my fire helmet, received several years of service from the previous one. It provides excellent light. I do not use the manufactures mount, I prefer to use a rubber strap that holds the light closer to the helmet providing less of a profile.

The flashlight does operate in water for extended periods. We took it in the ocean for snorkeling where visibility was perfect. When we were in only four feet of water and turned it on to look under large boulders, it wasn't very bright. Above water it is just like a regular small flashlight and works great. We'll keep it to use in the boat but would need something better if you really want to light up something underwater.

We purchased this light to use in our birth pool at our home birth. We ended up having the baby during the day and did not need the light but it was sure nice to have on hand just in case. It was a good price and worked fine the times we tried it out.

only had this for 30 days and the switch gets stuck-not working well at all.
