We do not have much frame as well and we were not able to attach to the siding. We used the wood frame. I attached the velcro strips provided to the screen, began at the top and adhered it taught. I ran the sides the same way. The sides are easily adjusted to get more taught or a bit looser to ensure the magnets meet after ingress/egress. It is a well made screen. We use it daily with two large rambunctious dogs that run in and out multiple times a day. I do recommend.

you can but it’s magnetic so the cats might still be able to go trough. My dog walks in and out of it while closed.

I'd suggest typing, "Magnetic Screen Door, 29" x 77" into the Amazon search box. You'll get a bunch of different screens, different brands, different sizes. You can take a look and see what would fit best. I found this link, but I think the width of the screen is too short (31") for a 29" door frame. Anyway, so far, the screen I bought is still working very well. No complaints.
