JINHAO 9009 Agate Red Fountain Pen M Nib

I got this for myself but, before using it, decided to give it to my mother. She is also a fountain pen fan and actually when in school learned penmanship using a fountain pen (her teacher did not allowed ballpoint pens they were too new!) It came with a converter and she already had bottled ink so, it was a perfect surprise gift. She absolutely loves the pen, the cap can be posted but she never does (the teacher would not allow that either). It quickly becme her favorite pen and she uses it almost daily. No leaks, feels good, writes well, looks terrific and was a great price. A fantastic buy all around.

OK it's not a high dollar pen, 10 bucks, but writes smoothly and feeds the ink well ( haha a pun! ). Fun to play around with. A "wet" pen with the medium nib so the ink really flows and gives you a fat line, but easily controlled. Handsome pen, with cool and groovy embellishments. I have 10 fountain pens, some are vintage but this is one of my favorites. Get some good ink and you'll be gold.

Get the pen! Trust me! I've had this pen for almost a year now and I still love it. It's beautiful and writes well! I've bought fountain pens two and and three times the price of this one and they didn't compare to it's quality. There's a nice weight to this pen and refilling the ink is easy! Great for beginners!

Smooth writing pen. I write a lot an dI find it very comfortable in the hand and long lasting. Liked it well enough I bought another one for a different color ink.

This pen looks great and performs well most of the time but is not that consistent and has a small ink capacity.

Smooth writing and ink flow is great

This pen is from a reputable manufacturer and I have several of their other models. I use nothing but medium points and this one was supposed to be one. But it turned out to be extremely scratchy had unreliable ink feed and finally "exploded" black ink when I tried to refill it. Several kinds of ink and paper were tried, but all failed miserably.

This is a beauty for something so reasonably priced. Heavy due to metal construction. The nib is a bit smaller than I usually use but writing with a finer line works. The seller immediately (I'm talking minutes!) replied to a concern about a shipping issue and they simply could not have been more helpful! I will certainly purchase more Jin Hao fountain pens. The value coupled with customer service is hard to beat!
