It doesn't matter if you are new to the game or genre, you can still pick it up and begin splatting!
Game is simply fun and addictive. Im not a fan of shooter or even online multiplayer gaming; but the game is so easy to pick up and learn how to play it, that you cant help to get hooked and before you know it, you are on that downward spiral of "just one more match".But perhaps the most important thing I would like to say is, that it doesnt matter if you are new to the game and have never played the first one, or like I said, if you are not skilled on shooters; the game, its mechanics, and the variety of weapons available, will allow you to play on an even field with others even if they have way more experience than you. With the Octo-expansion coming out in August-18, there will be some new players for sure, and they will all have a fair chance on matches as the veterans. My only "complaint" around it, is not even the game's fault but Nintendo's; and it is because the add-a-friend system on the console is so damn hard, that it gets kinda complex to arrange a match with your friends, and because of the craziness around voice chat, there is really no incentive to play online with your friends, and you rather end up playing online with strangers.Overall, if you wanna have some good fun on small size matches, yell at your screen in frustration if you are loosing, or experience the rush and excitement of victory; all while enjoying multiple add-ons and customization with vibrant colors (and on the go, if thats your thing); pick up this game, you won't regret it

Nintendo Quality
It's a Nintendo Polished Game... It's also a fast paced 3rd person shooter, with an online competitive mode that pits you against other inklings (Characters) in 4v4 battles for either Turf by claiming an area of the field with your teams color of Ink while dodging, and shooting Ink against the opposing side who is also trying to claim land with their own color Ink, but also a Ranked Mode that consists of a few other Game-Modes that take advantage of using ink like a Point Capture where you Ink, and hold down a certain location from an opposing team, but aside from that you also have a equally exciting horde style mode called Salmon Run that puts you with 1-4 other inklings in a team against, well.... hordes of Salmon, the adjective is simple collect as many Salmon eggs as possible from the Salmon Boss types that come throughout the rounds while keeping to a certain round quota as you should expect from a classic game company the rule of three applies here with there only being three rounds a game, the use of a multitude of Salmon Boss types, Maps, and Environment behaviors keeps you thinking on your feet throughout each round not knowing what they'll throw at you next

Among The Must Haves! :D
So far this game has been as addictive as I heard it would be. I never played the first Splatoon and I feel like I may have cheated myself out of a really good time. As you'd expect I couldn't wait for this sequel to release. So I quickly Preordered and got the Digital Code this time. Having Never got one before and being the person who's always getting the hard copy for any system I owned. This was uncharted territory for me. But It worked out great no problems getting the code and downloading on Release Date. Other than having to wait for the Servers to calm down a bit because everyone had the same Idea of being first. I waited until a little After Midnight to download my copy and 15 minutes later I was designing my Inkling and playing some Turf War. This is definitely one of the Must Haves for the Nintendo Switch. For other recommendation of games to add to your Switches library theres:The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild, ARMS, Puyo Puyo Tetris, and finally Mario Kart 8 DeluxeThats all I hope this helped you decide and Thanks for reading :D

Amazing game - Why haven't you bought it yet!?!?
This game is like a third person shooter that you don't need good aim for - and it is WAY more fun than it would seem.Games are nice and short, so you can pick up and play a match if you just have 5 minutes to spare. For someone with a busy schedule like me, that is a godsend. It is honestly my favorite game for Switch right now after BOTW; but unlike BOTW this actually has great replay-ability.The campaign is pretty meh, but it is good for honing skills for multiplayer. I am not docking stars for this, because most shooters have horrid single player, and this has OK single player. Multiplayer is where these games shine, and shine this game does indeed.

I recommend waiting for splatoon 3 to come out.
The game works like a charm ever since I got it back in the day. However, if you plan on purchasing this game right now, don't. I recommend waiting for splatoon 3 to come out. Also, good luck trying to get content without Nintendo online or playing together on the same device.

Great game, Great graphics, and Great fun! A MUST have for switch owners.
(M.K.Lake's Son): Great fun game..It's made me rethink my dislike of "Motion Controls", well..Usually there are matters when they work..LIKE here.. The gyroscopic controls make this so easy to pick up and play and it feels beyond nature. The game is bright colorful and a pleasure to play!Another great addition to Nintendo's Switch great first year lineup! Not to mention the posts that people put are funny as heck at times. Its nice to have a sorta miiverse here even though the official one is gone..:(This game is about 5-6 GB size, so it fits on the internal memory just fine. I usually try to by physical but I couldn't wait to get it lol. This game deserves about a 92% I would say...

Everyone is an MVP, can't shoot? then Paint!
I love to play this game with friends, its always a bummer when you get used to playing with a certain load out and then they nerf your favorite weapon due to it being "OP" but its still a great game and once you find the dynamic that works for you (painting, shooting or both!) everyone has an important place on the team. This mechanic is really what sets this game apart because even someone who is no good at shooter style games can still rake up big points and assist their team just by painting the field around them, and now that its portable on the switch to makes it so much more addictive!
