Great Gaming Laptop for the Price
I bought this laptop on a Diwali sale as I always wanted a gaming laptop. The HP Omen 15 is a beast. It is well designed with its compact look, thin bezels and RGB lighting. The build quility is very good. The hinges are tight and holds up the panels well. HP Omen 15 can run the latest games at highest settings very well. The 144Hz panel is amazing. Playing games at 140-150 FPS is something to behold.Like all i7-8750H laptops, this gets hot quickly reaching 90+ C. Don't worry about that. You will need to undervolt your CPU using throttlestop to bring the temps down. Just search on youtube for undervolt videos. I was able to undervolt it at 0.140mv for Core and 0.125mV for cache. And the temps did not go above 85C for demanding games at the highest settings. Watch Bob of all Trades youtube video on undervolting. Make sure you do not set SST to 0, which is cause the CPU to run at turbo all the time. Overall I am very satisfied with this laptop.EDIT: Undervolt it to -125mv on CPU Core and Cache and disable turbo boost via Throttlestop. That should keep the temps low. You can go higher with the undervolt but at times, I experience BSOD. You can experiment tho.

Nice laptop but....
ProsAwesome display 72 ntsc,good audio quality,good performance,solid main body,full gtx 1060,fast ssd 2200 mBps r/wConsAvrage lid and keyboard quality, heating issue as you can not touch keyboard wlile gaming,fans noise is very loud,3 hours of battery life on lite use 20 per brightness, audio volume is little low, display is bright at center but not on edgePlease note:Though it is running very hot still no significant throttling.Other modles with same specs give 10 percent more performanceGame test(1080p):Gta 5 : high setting 100 fps,very high 65 fpsFar cry primal ultra :60 fpsTomb rider 2015 high setting 65 fps

laptop is good but
dont buy hp laptop please,i beg you,they have created heating machines,and they have poor service center facilities,very poor hp service its a mental torture to go through their service
