Very nice collet chuck.
I was very surprised by the accuracy!! You hear so much about some of these being bad, but this one was quite accurate and works well for me.

Very surprised
This is so much better than I expected for the price. Machining is great. Threads are great. I put an indicator on the leading edge of the chuck and it was less than .0005 off.

Please read the instructions
In the product ad there is a step picture showing how to snap the collet into the oblong ring. All the poor ratings seem to be from customers who didn't notice this. If the "How to use" pics were included with the part it may have helped make happy users. It is an excellent tool, glad I bought it

New Tool
I researched this item and purchased it with no worries. Once I got it in and inspected it, I was please. I put it my tailstock so I could start using it. I made a custom back up wrench for it and the collet wrench I purchased al works great together.Great addition to my lathe.

Very bad quality control
Very high runout. I measured .031” runout on a 6” long mill bit. Then I bought the Accusize and it measures .004” runout. But that much is surely the cheap collet that I’m using which has a possible .015 accuracy.

The outboard portion of the conical flange was machined about 3 mm off-center. wow
